Tried to understand it but it seems very complicated for my simple mind.

I have just downloaded the editor and it looks much like the SH mission editor to me. However, it would have been nice if it had come with an instruction manual. Which it didn't. Of particular interest is how/where the missions should be saved - and loaded.

Another thing - after having loaded a test mission the game wouldn't start because it's missing: "elicen40.dll". Also says the problem can be solved by loading the program anew.

The game started after reinstalling but the game doesn't "find" missions created in the editor. I have put them under "missions" to no avail. Also tried the SH trick where the file needs to be in a folder with the same name.

Apart from these difficulties, would you recommend the game Leandros?

I would! It is a little "stiff" but as I understand it is possible to get around that. My problems with the ME can be the fact that I have a German version which doesn't work with the Battlefront-sold English version. It seems I have to buy the whole English pack, South Gambit and all. I would do that as with a ME this game can be real fun. As a matter of fact I need it to make some Channel scenarios in connection with a book I have written. I have done a lot in the SH mission editor but that one doesn't have torpedo-lauching MTB's and destroyers.

The little time I have been playing I have found a couple of cool items.

The picture below: This cave sub pen could be entered after having sunk half a dozen vessels on the outside and decimated the artillery positions on top of the cliff and in the entrance. From afar it reminds me a lot about the rock of Gibraltar.

Also, since the game reviews give the impression that all the action is taking place on the open sea I file a picture from the high North, the Varangerfjord approaches - plenty of land, batteries ashore and Finnish boats working on the German side.

Looks good I think I'll probably get it after Christmas. A couple of more questions Leandros if you don't mind. Can you set the weather like in the SH3 editor and is there a cabin or something like a control room on the boats where you can set courses etc. on the map?

I only yesterday was able to download the ME help files so I cannot say yet as of the wather but I should think it is possible. After all, there has to be weather....:know:...

For setting courses you switch to the overview map. Courses can be set for several consecutive legs, single ships or flotillas. You can also steer certain boats directly from the command bridge.
