And Democrats are SPINELESS in standing up to this, apparently.

If you're an American making less than a million dollars a year you should be outraged. If not, you probably have s__t for brains.

It's a pretty safe bet to make that nobody on this site makes that much lol.

And yet when their masters tell them to jump, they'll ask "how high?"

If I had that much money, I don't think I'd even be on the internet unless it was to find out some information important to my meatspace existence, e.g., finding a restaurant to for me and my hot date, or booking a flight to Hawaii, etc.

It's pretty easy to make a million dollars a year.
But Uncle Sam gets pissed when you compete with him in the Money printing Game.

When unable to refute, divert. Or ignore. You can bet a whole bunch of the usual suspects won't be posting in this thread.

You post links. You prattle. You call everybody else "the usual suspects".

And yet I don't recall seeing you ever, once, actually discuss something.

and the republicans continue to find every way to give the average american the shaft

The title of this is pure bs.Sounds like torvald and a few others are the ones with as he put it "s*it for brains" I say this because it sounds like he has fallen for the class warfare scheme that the Left has peddled for years.Class warfare exploits people's own feelings of inadequacy related to their current economic situation, but it is easier to blame the "fat, rich guy" in lieu of one's self and his/her decisions. Now not everyone is responsible for their situation but lets be honest, vast majority are.The Left exploits this or tries to, does not work overall but works on many, too sad.

Torvald, your statement about "If I had that much money I would prob not use the internet" etc I believe you have been watching too much tv.Pretty much everyone with access uses the internet, even the people making a million dollars a year. How do I know this? I know a few people who make that much, prob more, they use the internet plenty.

I think a person's view of rich is subjective. My upbringing was comfortable, more so than most and according to the libs, my parents make too much money. However, I saw what rich is once I was in college, people who have trust funds aka really family money. A friend of mine in college literally could drop $500 or more at the bar and not think twice, no problem. This guy once dropped $2,000 taking all of us out to the bars etc, no problem. However, I never envied him, just the luck of the draw as to who his parents are.I am in law school now and there are people here who are actually rich.

Anyway, the Republicans are NOT holding the benefits hostage.A more truthful description of the situation is the Democrats want to raise taxes on one group(originally wanted to raise them on ALL but decided to try and pander to the middle class) of people in a sluggish economy in order to pay for their crap. The Republicans are essentially fighting the good fight, to keep EVERYONE'S taxes at current rate and then find a way to actually pay for the unemployment benefits, then extend them. The end will prob see the tax cuts extended for two years and unemployment benefits reinstated, adding more to the debt I am sure.Once new Congress comes in, will see some real responsibility. The Dems do still control things, keep this in mind.

Again, highly untrue. They want the tax cuts extended for ALL Americans.Dems originally wanted to let them expire for ALL Americans but then realized it was a bad idea, so went to their basic class warfare thing, only raise it on the "rich" lol

I'm not as old as some of the guys around here, but I have been watching the R's and D's play this game long enough to know that this isn't going to be true; not by a long shot. Quotes like that are going to come back and bite you.

EDIT: By the way, I think it is pretty clear that they are both pandering to the middle class. Team D is doing so while wanting to soak the rich, and Team R is doing so while wanting to screw the poor.

Sorry, not trying to lend credibility to this thread.
