I'm doing a mission where you need to go from Pearl to Hokkaido and engage merchants. I've got my boat to Japanese waters now and met a convoy there. I started encountering it but... After I had used all my 4 fore tubes (and waited about 15 minutes after it) I was wondering why the tube 1 has 4%/100% reload, I checked crew management and found out..

My all crew members where fatigued 94-98/100 O____o I never actually use the all crew to battle stations and I didn't have it on now either, both 1st and 3rd "row" of the crew had that said huge fatigue and second had nothing. :hmmm:

So yeah, let's try to win a war with a crew like this..... :damn:

Are you sure you didn't accidentally hit Battle Stations anyway? I can't think of any other thing that would do that. :-?

I checked it, battle stations order wasn't on. My best guess is that when you are going ahead flank your crew fatigues more than normally.. I don't have limited diesel so I usually use ahead flank to move faster :haha:

Perhaps I've ran into a bug..

Battlestations is the only thing that would do that. Are you playing stock and are you patched...possible stock bug, but not sure, so make sure your updated to at least 1.4

Moving at flank doesn't cause that...

Did you say you never put them in battlestations? Uh you should when you attack, gives your crew a boost.

Yes I'm playing Vanilla 1.3.. Actually, I did a little research and it seems that ahead flank fatigues them more than ahead standard. I admit that my researches aren't very accurate but it really seems to be so..

Looking for 1.4 patch now thanks for help everyone :salute:

Only SH4 1.3? You may have saved and reloaded near a convoy, TF etc. and that is not a good idea. I had similar experiences before I bought the u-boat missions. I was also playing version 1.3 and was pissed when that happened near a juicy TF :nope:.

If I may...

Forget 1.4! :D Go for Gold!

But seriously - Silent Hunter 4 Gold includes patch 1.4 and the U-Boat Missions (v1.5) - and! - it's free from Starforce/DRM/andwhatnot.

And! it's yours for only £8 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silent-Hunter-Pacific-missions-expansion/dp/B002L8D218

May I further recommend getting it as a disc - not the digital download!

Happy Hunting!

Don't waste your time with 1.3; as Jan said, get 1.4 and select a megamod. The game is so buggy, you really need to get the upgrade and install the mod.

Save & Load bug confirmed, it was a nice surprise when I had to save and quit during convoy assault...

Anyway, I downloaded and installed 1.4 and life seems to be nicer now

BTW, that 1.4 readme said that fixed a bug which caused destroyers sink when they collide with Subs... :hmmm: I once had a DD driving directly on me when I was surfaced (little gambling with deck gun and didn't notice to look where I'm going) and only think happened I had a hole where you could fit that damn destroyer in my boat... :nope:

Happy hunting everyone :salute:
