Can someone explain.......

I'm using the Darkwraith's UI mod in SH5 stylee but I'm confusing myself. Can someone outline step by step the method of targeting a ship.
I have manual TDC on in the options... I'm in the attack scope and I'm locked on to a target using 'X' I want to use the Weapons Officer to just give me a solution so I click the ID target button, then the find solution button, then fire torp button... but I don't see any indication that It's working.
I've spent all morning searching the forums but I'm still confused.. Haayulp!!
I like map updates, but only a square on the map, not a fully interactive tooltip that tells me the speed, heading and captains life story on a merchant..

TDW is adding a tutorial for using the WEPs officer to help with solutions when he updates to v5.3


From WEPs officer commands:-

1. Lock on target
2. Follow target
3. ID target


4. All stop.

From TDC

5. Use stadimeter to find range.
6. Enter AOB (est)

From WEPs officer commands:-

7. Find solution.

From TDC

8. Use stadimeter
9. and again.
10. and again.


With each use of the stadimeter the WEPs officer will call solutions.
As the target gets closer, your range finding improves and so does the solution report.

11. Enter info from WEPs to TDC and fire.
