Starforce, Securerom ? My OS is W7 64 bit. The reason I ask is it installed in Program Files x86 and plays perfectly. Btw it's patched to 4.08.
If it's Starforce then, my Original SH3 disc, Starforce and all should work.
Or does IL2 1946 use something else ?

I find it hard to beleive IL2 1946 didn't have some kind of copyright protection like SH3.

Here in Germany the boxed version of Il2 1946 is patch-level 4.07m with Securom7. Patch 4.08m then removes the copy protection.

Yep, some copies came with the Securom Copy Protection, and the 4.08m patch removed it however the DVD was still required in the drive to run it. (at least at my end it is)
and some people where lucky that their copy came without copy protection and do not require the DVD to be in the drive.

Thx Seeadler :salute: The reason I was asking is it installed on my OS W7 64bit without a problem + patch 4.08 and plays perfect.
I figured if it was Starforce protected, why not try SH3 which alot of members are haveing problems with.
