View Full Version : I love it when trolls fail at spelling

Sometimes, flamers post too quickly and make hilarious spelling mistakes
especially on forums that don't have an edit feature
some of my favorites are:
"Only rednecks listen to Nanson" - before you troll, at least figure out the name of the celebrity

"long live lindows!" - I don't know what side are you on

and my all time favorite:"Long live ****lar!":rotfl2:

I find it amusing that folks obsess over spelling on an interwebs forum. ;)

But hey enjoy your small victorys :salute:

What I really find amusing is bad grammer and spelling on job applications, project submittals, offical corrispondance. :D

Well, as you refer to the noun "folks" I think the right form would be "are obsessed". The use of the Imperative mood is not correct in this correlation, neither would the English subjunctive mood apply here...:O:

Thank you krashkart for pointing out the other, inexcusable spelling mistakes!

I've pretty much become accustomed to seeing bad spelling. What annoys me most is people who insist on using the email system to conduct business, but use strange green and orange fonts, or confetti backgrounds and such.

I agree; we're typing on the fly here, much like you would speak on the fly in conversation. As such, I type as I would speak, not as how I write in a formal setting. Also, English is not the primary language for many internet users, including a large number of members on SubSim. I have always considered it to be poor 'netiquitte' to address grammar, spelling and punctuation.

I thought you were quoting the sentence because it was misspelled - never mind :salute:.

*Adolf voice* Ze spelling must be defended at any prize! No retreat! :D
