I'd rather be a slave to money than a slave to an empty ideal
I prefer cold hard Krugerrands over all the damn "isms"

Plutocracy?

I just don't see the attractiveness of being led by a dog. I don't care if it was owned by Micky Mouse. :nope:

Between 2001 and 2008, about 40,000 US manufacturing plants closed. Six million factory jobs have disappeared over the past dozen years, representing one in three manufacturing jobs.

and thats basically Michigan.

But it's a pitty. Especially because they have the american public duped. Having them follow lock-step to their policies

Well, I found this amusing from somewhere else:

"From 1980 to 2005, more than four-fifths of the total increase in American incomes went to the richest 1 percent."

That is so bad, it makes me...

...wish I'd thought of it first!

...the usual suspects...
So you classify yourself as a centrist? You are one of the "usual suspects" for the other side. Pot and kettle, and all that.

You could at least try to have a real debate, instead of playing games.

And as to people "ignoring" the thread, when you post in the middle of a Sunday what do you expect? None of the people you hate so much are even here.

I thought that Plutocracy was a group that wanted Pluto returned to full planet status (http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/060824_planet_definition.html)... :hmmm:

They are known to control the Illinois state legislature... (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1541083/pluto_still_a_planet_according_to_state.html)

I was wondering what the thread title was all about, but wasn't curious enough to click.

Then i saw this on fark:
The slide into plutocracy continues: man won't face felony hit-and-run charge because he manages $1 billion in assets for Morgan Stanley

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/08/martin-erzinger-morgan-stanley-hit-and-run-_n_780294.html

If the article is true (i hear the huffington is on the extreme left) I don't care who you are, if you do the crime, you should be made to do the time.

money talks louder than democracy or justice these days....hell it even talks louder than peace. Its funny how in both Afghanistan and Iraq some of our first actions were oil related.
