Ruler with Compass

Back in 2006 I was pretty sure that I had a mod for this game that changed the navigation tools. Basically, whenever I was drawing a line with the ruler, the end of the line (the one I'm pulling on) had a compass stuck on the tip so that I could pretty much draw the line to any heading I wanted. I know I'm not describing it very well, but if anyone knows what that mod might have been please let me know because it was very, very useful.

oh yes this would be helpful, ive needed something like this. the current tools are too unreliable, especially since the compass is round but the area around it that cant be used is square...

If you're using GWX one of the tools on the nav map screen is a '?'. Hit that, then re-select the ruler, and you'll be happy again. :salute:

If you use this tweak I made (JSGME compatible) then you get the compass on all tools that are made up of lines, not just the ruler tool.
