View Full Version : Ok how much do you measure and weigh?

I'm not a tall guy I'm 175 cm tall (5.74 feet)

and I used to weigh 75 kg or 165 lb though I don't look that big at all.
Some weeks ago I cut down my jogging routine due to injured knee while not changing my eating habits and when I checked on the scale my weight rose to 78 kg! or 172 lb.

Worried about being obese and gaining even more weight I decided to go on diet. And after about 3 weeks with 2 weeks serious diet by just having a single starfruit as my lunch meal and no breakfast(had only fruit salad for lunch on the first week). . . .and returning to a minimum 3 times a week jogging routine for 3 weeks . . .I have managed to shave some weight.

This morning when I checked on the scale I weigh just 72.5 kg or almost 160 lb.

I'm planning to go to 72 kg as now I already look pretty slim. Any less I would look too skinny.

I realize it will take permanent change of eating habit to keep me in this range.

And so what's your situation with your weight and body mass index?

Now only if I can survive the holidays without stuffing my face, I should be ok for next year.

Just a note mate, BMI is a horrible indicator of health. I have friends who are avid weightlifters and well built, but BMI says they are obese. So if you have a lot of muscle that might factor into it.

I know what you mean in the last 3 weeks of my dieting we've had 2 birthday dinners to celebrate one of which a buffet dinner. I usually treat myself on weekend either Saturday or Sunday, nothing obsessive and I stop before feeling full. And stopping before feeling full or too full is the key imo. Of course if I knew I was going to go for an eating out I compensated by eating little in the noon.

Nobody said anything about going on diet for the ladies :O:.

Whenever I do something and I believe when most men decided to do something it is for myself(themselves).

Women wear inconvenient dress which is either too delicate or revealing(thus inconvenient) and wear torturing high heels and go on diet so they will be pleasing to men but

Men wear good clothing, good watches and go on exercise and diet so that they feel good about themselves :03:. It's never about to be seen but to feel good about yourself. So if men are comfortable wearing t-shirt and short they will because they are comfortable in them though the fabric and design may be chosen to suit their character. So men will wear their favorite clothing even if they go to deserted place because it shows who they are unlike most women who pick on occasions to dress up.

Makes me wonder how have you been living as a man Third Man :D(joke no offence)

but I did a lot of weightlifting 5 years ago, I slowed and stopped about 3 years ago. I'm getting a little big in terms of sideways growth, but being so tall I'm kinda filling in.

As for the ideal woman, mine is neither of the three, because I'm already dating mine. That's what I call a win. :yeah:

Usually I'm about 10-15lb lighter, blame lack of exercise (although I do walk a lot and play basketball on occasion)... I know that doesn't sound like a lot for my height, but I've got no serious muscle to speak of... so no reason for all that extra flab!

Currently I'm 5'8" and 185 pounds, down since September from 195. When I was younger I too could eat anything in sight and never gain weight, but somewhere around age 35 that all changed. At one point I ballooned all the way up to 225, and at one point I suddenly lost 60 pounds in two months, dropping me down to 135.

Due to current band activities I'm working hard to get down to around 160.

I weigh 6.3 Talents and that makes me sound oh so much slimmer. :har:

After doing some research (thank you Google/Wikipedia) there are several differing corresponding units:

Greek (or Attic) Talent = 26 kg (57 lb)
Roman Talent = 32.3 kg (71 lb)
Egyptian Talent = 27 kg (60 lb)
Babylonian Talent = 30.3 kg (67 lb)

So the average of those is 28.9 kg (63.4 lb)

Which roughly is 182 kg (399.4 lb) :o I'm hoping now that you're around 12' tall :O:

And any women who gets offended by that remark will be my kind of women :salute:. Too many women I know who follow a strict regime of diet only to look unhealthy and too skinny, my own sister included she's just too thin imo and she's been holding on eating to the extent being rather ridiculous and unhealthy. Too many women putting their self worth only for the notion of being sexy or sexually appealing to men. Too many women put on revealing clothes or sexy short or wearing other inconvenience just wanting to be thought sexy as if that would put them above the other women.

Too few women knows how to be crazily attractive without showing body parts . . .

Too few women realize they don't have to conform to some men's perspective on women.
Heck some men would love if all women would just put on bikini when going shopping but it doesn't mean putting on bikini while shopping is cool even if some of those men have a big wallet or can influence the entertainment media. Women are not meant for men viewing pleasure and many should stop allowing themselves being exploited by the media and to start thinking critically even if it's still mainly a man's world!

Being less than a lady or cheap benefits only unfaithful and shallow men and put the women at disadvantage and a loss. How one treats herself or himself is how one's going to be treated.

Edit: I think I hit Frau's nerve too when I wrote something similar . . . .

Though there is no acknowledged standard of weights and measures when it comes to amphibious ass-kickery, I tip the scales at just over 210 lbs of manly Marine meat, all of which is crammed into an attractive and convenient package measuring just over 73" in height.

However, my actual weight and height varies greatly depending upon the circumstance. For instance, when I am in possesion of a belt-fed weapon or a good woman, my height nearly doubles to 10 feet or so and my body becomes impervious to bullets, indicating a tremendous increase in mass, particularly in the genital region. I've never been in posession of both at the same time, but mathematical models indicate that my body would have to be measured in some kind of as-yet undetermined quantifier, which I have tenatively dubbed the "Norris". My calculations indicate that, should I be in possession of a belt-fed weapon and a good woman at the same time, I would measure at just under .050 Norrises, which is equivalent to the left half of Chuck Norris' beard.

Weight varies depending upon the quantity of alcohol I have imbibed, and is a bit trickier to calculate. At zero-consumption level I mass a fairly reasonable 95.5 kilos. However, studies of females indicate that in the presence of small doses of alcohol, their mass drops by a good 5-10 kilos, and they exert less effort in moving otherwise weighty appendages, such as the breasts or legs. Whether or not this holds true for males like myself remains to be seen, but early test results indicate that small quantities of alcohol reduce the mass of males enough to perform otherwise idiotic physical stunts, thus indicating an appreciable reduction in mass and/or an increase in muscle density.

When larger quantities are imbibed, the mass of males and females alike seems to increase to the point where they are rendered immobile by gravity, often to the point of losing consciousness, suggesting that alcohol can increase body mass by a factor of 6 to 9, or above. Again, we lack a sufficient standard of measurement for this wild fluctuation of mass, and yet again, I have developed a tenative unit of measurement to quantify it, which I call the "Oprah". I'm still working on the equation, but I am convinced that I am heading in the right direction.
