OK, Please help a dope!!!

:damn:I've played SH3, SH4 (wolves) and now am fighting with SH5. Forst off, their manual sucks. Anyway, STEP-BY-STEP, how the hell do I hit a target with a torp?? I am using easy mode, lock the target, fire at a decent distance and all the torp does is run straight and hot. It does not follow the target. I have the pistol off. I'm lost here folks. Please help the less fortunate!!!:damn:

Ok, this is the thing, Locking on in SH5 does not equal auto TDC
This is what you do:
You first have to lock on to the target and then unlock. Once you unlock you'll notice in the TAI (mini map) that the yellow line that represents your torpedos path will change to hit your target. Then you line up the crosshairs from your scope to where on the ship you'd like the torpedo to impact and the trajectory will change accordingly.

It works best on merchants. Warships is a different thing as they are harder to hit from long distances.
