This is not for kids at all, don't let the style fool you. I used to have a copy of it and it's a bloody hilarious spoof on an English textbook, "teaching "English"" using quotes from Full Metal Jacket. Comes complete with audio CD :haha: (and yes, it sounds exactly what you'd imagine it like - squeaky voices with an almost unintelligible, heavy Engrish accent, i.e. "Ai raik you. Kaamu oba to mai hausu and fakku mai shista.")
As a student of Japanese myself, I was incredibly amused of course. But for kids/education it is certainly not.
