Progressives are losing steam and are in real trouble this election cycle.

Even the ever popular Bill Clinton is having trouble with turnout.

While the crowd hoisted signs that stated “Virg Surge,” the turnout at the rally was anemic. More than 500 people came to the rally, but the gym at Renaissance High School was only about one-third full, even though Clinton used to command full houses wherever he went, especially in Detroit.

Wake, Michigan isn't really that enthusiastic of a state right now, especially In Detroit. So I wouldn't really base anything of it. Out of all of the states, Michigan was one of the hardest hit by the economic collapse bush presided over. So it makes sense when nobody shows up. Everybody either has left or has something better to do whilst trying to survive unemployment. Besides, Detroit will go blue anyways.

Because "Progressives"( I hate that term, really) know their golden boy is a fraud and has done nothing but hurt their movement in the eyes of the regular voter, esp independents.Bush hurt Republican and Conservative(even though he was only a social conservative everyone sees him as a conservative) which after 06 and 08 has lead to the "come to jesus" moment for the GOP, allowing a new group of candidates to win the primaries and run for the office.

They can't stand conservatives either and are not happy with their option, so many are just staying home.
