Really strange story and interisting insight into mass hysteria.

A large family jumps from second floor windows to flee 'the devil'.

The baffling incident occurred when a wife woke to see her husband moving about naked in the room, police said.

11 People in one room. and they can be scared so much with "the devil!!!!" that they rather jump from the second floor than checking what's really going on?

The news that I saw yesterday said that the french police was investigating if there was some spirit ritual. The family was from Angola and many africans have strong beliefes about witchcraft, sorcerer, devil, deamons and so on.
So it's not to strange that the sister-in-law the man naked and thought that it was the devil, stabe him in the arms and them jump...
Whe I heard it from the first time, my thought was they jumped one by one or all the eleven went to the balcony and jumped at the same time...:hmmm:

Pretty big balcony, pretty big apartment for that matter.

But actually knowing their heritage now that explains alot.
