Play TMO 2 Beta + RSRDC . Have 2 open forward tubes but
when I try and drag a torp into an open slot it doesn't
go. I see no damage indicated to the tubes. Did have
minor damage from earlier surface battle but it was
repaired. Two tubes affected, other four normal.
How does this get fixed? Return to base?

How does this get fixed? Return to base?Return to base and end your patrol. That is, if you had hull damage. I think a simple refit at Home Port won't do the trick. Only ending patrol will repair it.

You're obviously in port, only place you can drag a torp. Sometimes the damage doesn't work or show with torps, so probably damaged.

Or he's submerged?

Maybe he has auto-loading disabled and has to drag the torps over to the tubes. Can't see why 4 tubes are OK but the other 2 aren't. He either has damaged tubes or a new bug has appeared.

Sound like two destroyed tubes. If auto was off they would still load in port automatically in the tubes.

What he could try is to cut auto off and see if one would drag over. Obvious, it won't drag in one swoop, but you'll see it loading over time.

I had it happen too many times my tubes get damaged or destroyed and it won't show up on the damage meter. Still, they usually load if damaged.

Might could look with the cam and see if two of the tubes are destroyed on the outside, but graphics can be funny hear if you refit or reload a save. One thing bad about reloading a save is it clears the damage board, but the damage is still there.

Was at periscope depth set to attack trying to
manually load tubes 1 and 4 after silent running.
I surfaced and moved to another area after a few hours of
game time I dove to periscope depth to attack
again and then I could loD those tubes!
No damage to tubes was ever reported! Strange
but it fixed itself.

If you have auto load on they will install automatically. If you have it off, you need to drag each to a slot, then you will see it eventually load.

Sounds like to me you had silent running on, then they won't load regardless. You surfaced which cuts silent running off, thus they started loading again.

Perhaps but don't usually use auto loading. I thought the tubes
might have been damaged. If they were would the torp
"snap" back into storage after I tried to drag into a tube?

Only if you had auto load turned off. Obvious you must have a empty rack to drag it to, but just as it takes time to load, it takes time to unload. One thing good about auto load off if a tube is damaged with a torp in it you can unload it and place it in a undamaged tube if your down to those are the only ones left.

I think you're right Armistead. He probably was in silent running and therefore couldn't reload.
