As the social security cost of living was nixed and seniors became quite angry the white house decides to throw them a bone to the tune of $250.00.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats are making a pre-election pitch to give Social Security recipients a one-time payment of $250, part of a larger effort to convince senior voters that their party, and not Republicans, will best look out for the 58 million people who get the government retirement and disability benefits.

Heard this story about a week ago and at first sight I just had to laugh. A one time payment of 250 bucks? are you kidding me? That might buy groceries for a month or two. Good lord the democrats are imploding.

Grocery for a month or two? :har: Try a week or maybe two! Hell, I drop $170.00/week on a family of 4. Trust me...there is no steak on the menu either when you budget $170.00 for grub. But, yes, $250.00 is laughable at best. The government has found that they can do what they want with the elderly and their money because most are just to damn tired to storm Capital Hill making demands.

It would appear that I can make no sense of this statement!! Assuming a house can throw a bone  you have failed to specify type of bone, and to what family. At birth the (human skeleton) is made up of 275 bones
a fusing process occurs, leaving a total of 206 separate bones at maturity. The axial skeleton alone, comprising of the skull, ribs and sternum, has 80 bones. :hmmm: if the bone was found then perhaps it be classed as inanimate object, and are not prone to spontaneous movement without forces being applied, thus, I can conclude, the house did not throw anyone a bone. There exists the possibility of some $250.00 price tags and more. :yep:

Its just a idiom.

Maybe this will help

If you throw someone a bone, you give them a small reward or some kind words to make them feel good even if they've not really contributed much.

Are you sayin' I throw like a girl? :hulk: You will find the following answer above, of course in this particular case, your statement and question is not of importance. :shifty: Well at least not desirous of a $250 buck vote.

Democrats love to try and bribe the most vulnerable among us...the elderly, the poor, the uneducated etc to stay in office.Amazes me how many low/middle income voters think the Democrats actually care about them, or did?

I heard an African American candidate from CA a few months back, forget what office he is running for but he grew up in poverty and in an interview said he is a Republican because the party stands for the freedom to move up and basically keep what you earn, where as Democratic Party is more about "helping" people stay where they are but with slightly more comfort or moving just a notch up, at the exspense of others of course via higher taxes.

$250 is just a waste that will put us further in the red, just a bribe, As said, Democrats are experts are exploiting the most vulnerable among us.
