This has been occuring for a while now, it usually doesnt happen but it has again, I know its TMO because happens with TMO only but also with RSRD.

Basically, if save with engines running or after taking hull damage or any damage, even if equipment is repaired, all the depth gauges, etc, all freeze in the 12 o clock position when I reload.

Anyone know whats causing this? Ive noticed it only happens if i save around other units, with engines not at all stop or if have taken damage, even when damage is repaired.

Anyone else get this?? Any ideas how to fix it?

I have run into this problem also, for me it went away after i returned to port and started my next patrol.

Ordinarily dials stuck at 12 is caused by an AI submarine that is using some of the same nodes, equipment, or duplicate node ID as the player.

I'm pretty sure i stomped all that out. I'm well aware of that, and there are only two AI submarines at sea in TMO. One german, one Japanese.

So, im curious as to how series an issue this is:

1.) Are you running any mods over TMO? (If so, you don't need to answer any more questions.)
2.) How often does it occur?
3.) When did it occur? (date/day of the war)
4.) Where did it occur?
5.) How did it occur? What are the exact set of circumstances, units near you, and actions you took before you got the stuck dials?

Ducimus, it has occured when TMO only, but also occurs with RSRD.Occurs with other mods but occured long before my current mods.As mentioned in my original post, it occurs when I have taken damage and repaired it or if take hull damage(which cant be repaired at sea as we know) and save it, when I reload, 9 times out of ten the dials in addition to the sonar dial are frozen. Also I noticed if I save with the engines running, it does it as well.I normally have no issue because I save away from other vessels, order all stop and manage to avoid damage usually but sometimes get minor hull damage from a close aircraft bomb or depth charge or minor damage during a depth charing by a enemy escort, even when repair, it does this.I'm stumped.

Here is my current mods list but I have tested this and this occurs when TMO only or with RSRD plus TMO 2.0

TMO 2.0
TMO Beta patch
RSRD V5xx
RSRD V5xx patch
Fixed CD sonar by tater(makes the type AB have active sonar, which is lacked in 44 due to an error.
TMO visuals for RSRD by tater(brings down the vision of RSRD escorts to be more realistic)

IJN radar fix for TMO beta update
EAX sound without webster manuvering fix
different smoke merchants and warships
speech overhaul(adds bells when you change telegraph orders for speed) and some minor speech changes.

Gramaphone three
TBT filter red

As mentioned, occurs with TMO only or with RSRD and the mods.I wouldnt have posted without some of my own testing.

yea but while still at sea, stuck with the frozen dials, kills immersion a bit.

Strange bubble, run the same setup and never seen it and I play with the
gauges a lot. The only issues I've never resolved that happens is sometimes silent running won't activate, reload works fine. Think it's alttab, bad as it is, I do it constantly as I play and work on same PC

I Agree, its a pain when it happens. I just consider it as though i had parts break on the sub and scrap that patrol. Whats strange is how random it is, sometimes i can go for almost an entire career without it happening and once in awhile it hits on back to back patrols. The Info about the Subs using the same parts is interesting, I'm using the AI Jap Sub from TMO in my install but i'm pretty sure its the one from TMO 2.0 so that shouldn't be the issue but i'm going to check anyway. My install is custom so i can't really be much help for TMO users, but i did use alot of TMO in my install. Ducimus made a great mod, if i didn't have my own tweakers OCD i'm sure i would also be using it as he released it.

And old reports mention that if you're near AI subs, then don't save either...

Running TMO here for a very long time now and never had this "problem" - but than again, I never save until everything's clear.
