Look, I believe in free speech. As such, I don't see how these pieces of trash can be shut up.

But their community needs to exercise their right to free speech as well and demonize and ostracize these people to such an extent that their lives become utter misery.

People like these deserve nothing better, and make me almost wish I believed in a hell for them to burn in for eternity. Really? Taunt a dying, 7 year old girl?

but I had seen death as late as 2008 as I had seen God almost 2 decades ago. So far from what I know the odds are overwhelming that heaven and hell are real too. I know this because of the things becoming alive for me from what is written in the bible. Heaven and hell don't need people to believe in them for them to be real as it is too with God.

I can tell anyone what real death is or how exactly it feels....it's the cessation of living. The end of consciousness and autonomy. The end of being being. To the optimist it's called resting in peace. . . .while heaven will be a place of thrill and enjoyment and fulfilment and ruling instead of mere resting. . . .

That women too will get to her death that is a certainty. After all it's what is fundamental to being a mortal that we are simply mortal.

They must have been scared likely instead of sorry. People can be apologetic even when they are not sorry for anything.

The women seems to have issues . . . .in her life. She needs professional help instead taking it out to a dying 7 year old girl and her mother . . . .She really looked angry.

I thought it was New Jersey when I saw Trenton, which led me to wonder why I had not heard about it until now. I'd say that the neighbors' behavior certainly reinforces my negative view of humanity. I'm also fairly certain that the woman regretted her tone once she saw herself on local television. Humiliation is usually the finest revenge, especially when self-inflicted.

Gah I didn't watch the linked vid but I just read about this on Jezebel this afternoon... WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. They posted pics of a dying kid w/ the Grim Reaper 'shopped in because somebody didn't text them back quick enough with an invitation to come over and play? :nope:

Gee I can't imagine why they didn't get a gilded special delivery invitation in the mail beforehand, clearly they're the kind of people that you want in attendance at all your neighborhood social functions. NOT.

It's despicable to do something like this, but I can't help this feeling that the parents of the girl aren't completely innocent. There's just no way I can believe that the only reason for this woman's anger is a text message.

I don't think it has anything at all to do with the parents of the child but EVERYTHING to do with the attitude/morals/mindset of the human filth that have reacted in such an inhuman and insensitive way.

What can I say? People are stupid and cruel. Evidently there were volumes of retrobution and even some death threats towards the offenders. Those tend to work wonders in terms of 'born again' changes of heart. I am certain that the sincerity is entirely fabricated, but at least they have backed down.

But that doesn't take away the fact that she was clearly very angry about something, and I simply can't believe that that something is just a belated text message. I've got this feeling that for some reason she felt extremely offended by something her neighbours did, and took her revenge on the easiest and most effective target: her neighbours' child. Heartless and crude, and she should have never done it, but I've got this feeling that the parents probably provoked it.

I know my personal view of humanity in general is not a very good one. These people reinforce that view. My own mother, once said to me " why do assume everyone is out to f--k you?!". Well.... yeah. I suppose that's true. I don't trust people, and my trust is hard earned. Its a survival mechanism in world that i learned is a cold, hard, and unforgiving place. I stopped believing in any sense of "natural goodness" in mankind years ago.

I don't really give a damn about whatever disagreement they had and who was right and wrong regarding that disagreement. Maybe the people who went after the child were completely reasonable in their point of view in said argument. Yet that doesn't justify going after a terminally ill child.This.

Agreed. No matter how large the perceived wrong that these neighbors feel, there's absolutely no excuse for going after a 7 year old girl with a terminal illness. There's nothing so bad as to make you say "yeah well I can see where what they did is justified." Even to consider it, much less act on it as these jamokes did, makes you the lowest of the low.

wow....some people. they are the worst people i have have ever seen. They need to be sued for slander. I sincerely hope that their apology is truly from the heart. Although i highly doubt it coming from people who would stoop so low as to taunt a 7 year old with a degenerative brain disease.
