Looks like I'm in the market for a new graphics card.

Any recommendations? What's hot right now? (besides my 8800)

If you're loaded, go with the 480, if not, go for the 460. Or you could hang about for the new ATI 6xxx. If it were me, I'd SLI two 460s for less than the 480.

Do let us know :D

Nvidia 460GTX 1GB

simply put the best bang for the buck out there if you're looking for a Nvidia card.

I wouldn't buy two though. A single GTX 460 would be fine . . . .imo

Two would be wasting money . . . unless you've got money to waste literally and if you do you'd be better off with a GTX 480 anyway.

A GTX 460 is selling for around 220 bucks just now I checked. Just make sure the Power Supply Unit is up to the task lest it damage your new GPU eventually due to insufficient power feed.

Sorry about the 880 GR that was a good card I had one fail a year or so ago.

Must have been a bad weekend for hardware I had a drive fail on me.

Well I think I'll go for something fairly low dollar. If I go out and blow a bunch of cash on something it's not like there are a bunch if cutting edge games out right now to take advantage of a sweet high dollar card.

I think I'll getsomething cheap to hold me overdid a whole new rig.

I have an ATI HD-4650 in a rig.

Not a world beater but it will run SH5 and MSFS and it was less than a hundred bucks.

There is probably newer better cards of the same class.

Yep, something like that, though it might be at a higher price point, not sure about your area.
