I'm back.... again finally. Last week my 5-1/2 year old computer's motherboard crapped out on me. So I decided it was time to buid a new one. Just got back on line tonight. Anyone have a good running Asus P4P800-E Deluxe kicking around that I can buy? If I can fix the old one I can use it as a backup computer.

Specs:
Cooler Master HAF 922 mid tower case. I love this case, it's so quiet..... 2 250mm fans and 1 120mm side fan
2.8GB i5 Quad Core
Asus P7P 55D-E Deluxe motherboard.. upgradeable to and i7
4GB Corsair 1300 DDR3 Ram
H50 Liquid Cooler
Zotac 8800GT 1GB DDR3 GFC
Ultra X3 600 watt PSU with 120mm fan and cable management
1TB Seagate HDD
200GB Maxtor HDD for storage of the most important stuff. With a second 200GB HDD for extra storage.

Still running XP until I can gather up the money for Win7 Ultra.

The graphics card kind of lets the rest of the setup down

Not really.... graphics are great with it. Besides, I've had this card for over a year. Besides, a newer card just isn't in the works for now.

The guys at CompUSA say it's one of the best even tho it's not an up to date card. And it will run anything out there just fine. Zotac made had a limited run on these and I've heard everyone that has it likes it. Newer is not always better as I was once told. :03:

Either they are pulling your chain or they know as much about GPU's as my mother. :DL

The 8800GT's were not bad cards, but compared to rest of the setup it is dated, but if you are happy with it, there is no reason for a change.

And it ain't like you couldn't upgrade later on.

Well, all I can say for now is that it's a hell of a lot faster than my old P4 3.2E with a P4P800-E Deluxe motherboard and DDR Ram. And the prices were right too. Built for less than 700 bucks.... money is/was the deciding factor. :03:

At least I can load SH5 on this machine and run it.
