Reading a sub book, came across the story of a Salmon sinking this ship, so I looked it up. Got me thinking of old ships that served in WW2. Although this was a repair ship during WW2, it was the built in 1898, second of the Shikishima class BB.

The read is interesting, but some highlights.

Saw lots of action against the Russian Fleet.
Her large guns were removed before the war, they placed large wooden fake guns back on her to look like a BB again.

What are some of the oldest ships in the game....Sure wish I could sink this baby....

I found this link why searching. Japanese Imperial Marine Gallery, about 200 paintings of about every JP ship...You'll want to look at these.

Chitose is a rarer find in the game, but I've sunk several, mostly see them during the invasion of the Philippines and Truk. Think the Chiyoda, the sister ship had the big red sun on top..be a nice skin.

S boats were pretty old, and served extensively in WW2's early years
