Today I found out why no firm would lease anything to me, no matter how loew the price of the item. Turns out when I shared an apartment with one of my former coworkes back in 2007 he signed the broadband connection to my name, didnt pay any of the bills and did not return the cable modem. Thats to that my credit rating is effectively ruined. I thought I had gotten rid of that ******* and his ****, but no, here it is again to haunt me allmsot four god damaned years later and I am stuck with a bill for allmost 300 euros with no chance to get any loan, no matter how small or what I have for collateral in the near future. I would very much like to beat the money out of that dip****, but with the dipstick being in prison there is no chance of me ever seeing that money again.
If he were to get out of prison today I would like to hospitalize him, but oh well.
Ouch, that sucks. Ungrateful wanker. :nope:
You can only hope when he bends down for the soap in the shower room.....:dead:

In prison huh? Next time don't give out your particulars to anyone :hmmm:.
300 euros that's quite some money. Sucks if you owe that much for NOTHING :nope:

What particulars, all he needed was my name and to forge my signature, that's it. Since the appartment was allreeady in my name the isp didnt bother to check him for id. But since I cant really prove any of this im screwed.

While you can't physically administer the beat down this scumbag deserves, I'm sure it could be purchased for a few cartons of smokes from his fellow inmates. :arrgh!:

Might a lawsuit be an option, against the Telecom company that failed to properly check him? This is a form of identity theft. Plus if the document still exists, it probably has his prints all over it and none of yours, and he probably didn't forge your signature very well. This assumes though that the company kept it.
Oh well, yet another reason why I don't like roommates.

It's from 2007, it took them more than 20 mintues to find the actual claim agains me, no physical paperwork acutally exists and a lawsuit would cost me more than actually paying the damned thing. It's one of those situations where I just have to take the **** sandwitch and bite down hard. Not to say that I am not massively pissed off by this, but there is nothing I can do.

But you can....you can learn from it and never allow anyone to share your place of abode in the future unless they pay a bond in advance.

Given the circumstances you should be able to clear this off your credit record. It will require considerable effort and probably involve lawyers (yuk).

Ya, credit rating is a real pain to get back, which is why I mentioned a lawsuit.

Time for some necromancy for I have good news. I have managed to clear this thing up as well as possible. I'll still have a blemish on my credit record for the next 5 years, but that can't be helped.
Aaaanyway, the ISP as it turns out had turned the debt over to a debt collecting business, the legal kind, but I used to work with the man runing it before when it was one the shadier side of legal so all the late fees were waived and I did not have to pay 300 euros, but got off with paying 73.
Ah, well that's good then.
Herr-Berbunch
11-11-10, 06:35 AM
73 is better than 300, but you still shouldn't have had to go through all this because of some :damn:
I don't put anything on credit anymore and if anybody asks me if I want it I just tell them I'm bankrupt (I'm not) and they soon shut up, feeling embarrassed :rotfl2:

Plus as things are going in worlds economy you could be lucky to not be part of this loaning and spending spree. Especially the housing market in Finland and Estonia is one big bubble, people are going to get hurt.
antikristuseke
11-11-10, 07:20 AM
The housing bubble already burst here, my sister bought a nice large apartment at the very bottom of the cliff, even now that apartment has increased in value over what she paid for it.
As far as the loan spree goes, I do have a small bank loan to pay off for the next 6 months, but thats because of the same god damned ******* who landed this **** on my head. I will make him pay for this one day, but just getting him roughed up will not cut it, I want to hurt him and teach him a lesson.

I just think it might burst again..Finland for sure needs it to burst.
I understand your feelings, i also would take it as an personal insult if someone close to me would stab me in the back and maybe couldnt let it just slide.:nope:
If he ends up in a Finnish prison i know some guys that ride Harleys.:D
If he signed your name, it was the responsibility of the broadband company to ensure they had the customer right. You can get this fixed.

I wouldn't beat him up, really I know your angry and want to take great vengeance out on him but you could end up looking at doing time for the assault.
When he gets out take him to court you have the evidence from the phone company sue him and get your name cleared at the same time if court system is fair in Finland you should at least get your name cleared.
Takes 5 years here for your name to clear I know this cause it happen to me over a $89 phone bill, I moved house and completely forgot to pay the phone lived with my sister for 2 years so when it was time to get my own place again went to get the phone on found out I had bad credit rating over that $89 bill.
The up side of it was I actually saved money during those 5 yrs cause I couldn't get credit from banks. :yeah:

is nothing they can do even though they know the person, the smug SOB had the nerve to phone me and have a laugh!:stare:

But try speeding 5 mph, ow boy you're one big road criminal ''Sir...just imagine some kid on a bicycle crosses right in front of you...those 5 mph could mean the difference in been able to break in time or hitting her'' *Driver looks around the desert scenery* ''You're serious, officer?''

Same over there huh!:x Amazing how the police do stuff all about real crime but as you say, go 5km over the speed limit and they throw the book at you, amazes me with all the advertising about speeding, road checks, breathalyzers, speed cameras etc etc trying to catch that evil criminal speeding 5km over the limit when real crimes like gang beatings that have taken place locally don't even get checked out, again police said "nothing we can do", this I know for a fact, very poor!:-? Let alone that if a crook breaks into your house you can't touch him and if he falls and injures himself you can be sued, it really does pay to be a crook, even murderers get on in 15 years or so, so much for justice!:damn:
Sorry about my wee whinge!!:oops::yep:

Its the same all around our liberal western "paradises".:haha:
US is an exception mostly, good for them.
If someone breaks in to my home he might get anything between a fist, knife, baseball bat or a bullet.
And then i will go to prison, what a joke this is.:woot:
I consider protecting your home from an violent invasion as a human right, it should be declared as such.

Well in Spain you still have a lot of freedom on the road...just some of the motorways have some speed cameras here and there. And the Police here still do their job of actually catching criminals. one day I passed a supermarket and I saw 1 shoplifter escorted out by 4 officers from 2 cars :o like wow...In the Netherlands you must be lucky if you get one on a bicycle to ask you the ''stupid'' questions. Criminals aren't held up in high regard here and the police is protected by Law so the criminal is never able to sue them when they are what they would call misstreated.
This is a nice example what could happen to you if you're smart enough to rob a bank holding the people hostage with a grenade and ask for escape vehicle which is a motorbike : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIDoqDEyrxg
now that's the way you catch criminals like that.
but since Spain is part of the EU things are slow changing for the worst too...:shifty:
I'm from the Netherlands and there....well....:nope:
it's either some camera that flashes you, a nut with a lasergun, a trap camera (some comon object with a camera in it like a small trailer), speed checks on the motorways, civil car with the camera equipment in it patrolling the roads and now also Helo's who check from above to check that you are not overtaking where it is not allowed and they'll wait for you 2 miles ahead. :damn:
and the situation is the same as over there Down under....you hit someone that breaks in the house doesn't matter armed or not to the head and you'll be the one likely go to jail instead of him...its like you have to offer him Coffee, show him the way to your valuable and heck why not rape your daughter and wave him goodbye at the doorstep and have him shoot you. :88)

They're the same with harassment cases as well. However, that kind of thing tends to come around full-circle for the one doing the harassing. :yep:
Now if you get a string of bomb threats to the local schools, as has happened around here recently, they are all over that in a heartbeat. (Four kids arrested so far)
