View Full Version : Starting new patrol without orders - weird!
I started a new campaign and started a new patrol without getting orders, thought this would be an open campaign mode but weird things happen, like the repeated orders don't appear in the list (like ship spotted, voice only)! I also noticed the hatch was open while submerged!:-? Is this mode usable?:hmmm:

Never heard about this "free cruise" mode being unstable. What's more, I encountered all the bugs you mentioned during nrmal "ordered patrol" too, so I suppose it was just a coincidence in your case.

Strange! I started another campaign in this mode and it is the same! Oh well!!
Seems it is the NewUIs_TDC_4_3_1_ByTheDarkWraith mod causing it, remove this and it works fine!:cry:
Don't be so sure about that, could be any other mod. It happened with me too a lot of weird stuff. Like after accepting mission I got teleported into the sub that is in the middle of nowhere.. like no bunk, no building nor ships. Or I got summoned into an enemy port where the ships were mixed with the allied ships.
More weird stuff.. just shot few torps on docked merchants in the port of Malta. Soon as they got hit, a whole flotila spawned around me.. counted 5 capital ships and a dozen of escorts. Next second I got ctd. And the list of weird stuff can continue...
I'm not sure which mod cause these things, but I don't use TDW UI. It could be any mod as SH5 in order to be played, need to be stuffed with mods and most of the time these mods are not compatible, or can cause crashes if used with other mods.. so there is almost impossible to point out a real cause. I'm used to start SH and then pray for a smooth gaming...
I removed all mods except this and the problem is there as soon as I enable it and start a new campaign, so in this instant I'm sure it is!:hmmm: but yes some weird stuff happens for sure!!:yep:
By any chance, are you playing Mare Nostrum campaign? Because that is a complete fail campaign, uber buged and filled with weird stuff all around.
No, Happy Times!!:yep: TDW's latest version has this problem fixed!:yep:
