Okay heres the situation, I have GWX 3.0 and SH3 Commander 3.2 and Random Weather Gen installed correctly. they work fine. same for torpedo damage v2

I download the Hitman Optics Mod, Life boat debris v4, and the DBSM and the fix for the DBSM. Finally got them unzipped. took them and put them in the MODS folder that JSGME works with installed them and went to play.

Where do I start.

first off Hitman Optics works, however my Peri view is messed up. its all black around the periscope (I was pretty sure that it was supposed to look like GWX 3.0?? I mean the stuff you need is there, flag ident. Ship book and the TDC stuff on the right, but then there is the periscope and its just black around that (Ill call it backround)

EDIT: I figured out the Hitman optics problem, apparently it conflicts with integrated orders and the open hatch mod, which is a bummer because I really liked both of those mods :( hmm maybe I wont use Hitman Optics at all then?? And still now clue on the sound problem, I even took the DBSM folder and renamed it Sound and got no sounds for a while then all stock sounds came through.

Second, my orders area is messed up. when I click on a Officer and click to give him an order (Ie Engineer, then propulsion) it looks like the normal game (4 large boxes in the center) however, in each box there was a picture in, its dividied into four (So for run silent, it shows say double knuckle port, periscope up, run silent, and open tube)

Next, My DBSM does not work at all. I still am hearing "Jawol Herr Kalauen and all the other stock sounds"

finally my lifeboat debris Idt is working either, debri (sp?) still comes up after a ship sinks but no lifeboats.

So help please? :o

It may be the way your got stuff structured in your MODS folder.
I had problems initially with the way I was unzipping mods, I was ending up with stuctures after unzipping like
Mod X\Mod X\Data\whatever
and I was putting the whole lot in my MODS folder so I got
MODS\Mod X\Mod X\Data\whatever
but I think the structure JSGME requires is
MODS\Mod X\Data\whatever

Lifeboat mod doesn't always spawn lifeboats especially when sinking small ships

hope this helps, if not at least it will kick it back up to the top of threads where someone else will be able to help

Uninstall/disable ALL the mods and enable them one at a time, checking gameplay at each step.

A PITA I know but the only surefire way of knowing what is compatible and what is not.

well I pretty much figured it out as some one else said lifeboats dont always deploy on the LF mod so thats fine, that explains why I ddint see them after sinking a destroyer (my own in kiel just to test but shhhhh ;)

Hit man optics interferes (according to JSGME) with the open hatch mod ( I have noo clue why) and the intergrated orders mod but either way Idk if I really like the change thaaat much in the optics to keep it so I may just use Intergrated orders and open hatch and not use the optics mod.

Where can I get the mod that makes the crew wear realistic uniforms? (Checkered shirts and such) and uhmm I think thats all I want for now as far as extra mods

Okay I figured it out. I think that for the Hitman Optics mod around the periscope is SUPPOSED to look sort of black?? however ive realized that I dont have my notepad and I dont really like the TDC all being right there, plus it seems to get rid of my 'extra' orders I can give to my officers (chief engineer has like 15 different sets of controls) ( I dont see what good I can do setting all the controls when I cant actually view my solution)

so as much as I like the periscope. I may just have to pass on the Hitman Optics mod although it is good.

On a second note, I got DBSM to work, it was the fact that the DBSM file was actually farther in and needed seperation from the base file before it could be put into JSGME, although Im not too sure if Im fond of it yet, even though the old voices were monotanous, I got used to them :( theyre like little kids, at first ya hate them but then they kinda grow on ya :) but who knows Im going to try with the DBSM for a while and see how it goes :shucks:
