View Full Version : O'Donnell: No Witchcraft Since High School
Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell on Sunday chalked up her experimentation in sorcery to being a teenager, saying there's no magical explanation to her 1999 confession that she "dabbled into witchcraft."

"One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that," she said, laughing in the clip.
"We went to a movie and then had a little midnight picnic on a satanic altar," she said. You're creepy.

No way she would be elected... you have to sell your soul to the Devil for that... and oops she did that already... :O:
Funny her talking about witchcraft makes the headline and not this towards the end:
O'Donnell told talk show host Phil Donahue in 2002, "Condoms will not protect you from AIDS." While appearing on "The O'Reilly Factor" in 2006, O'Donnell called condoms "anti-human." :nope::nope::nope:
Too bad her speeches are not fact checked by the NIH...
I admit that her statements are beneath contempt, but it is strange that she was nominated, and that since the publication of the Fox

Hrm, Vote for someone who 'dabbled' in witchcraft while in high school or vote for a tax and spend 'progressive' who associates with Soros.
Anyhow, as we found out, not only was Mike Castle a far lefty hiding among the Republicans, he also co-founded the Republican Main Street Partnership along with Nazi sympathizer George Soros, the self-proclaimed owner of the Marxist-democrat party.

The opponent in November once described himself as a "bearded Marxist.” Since then, he’s lost he beard. Mike Castle might not do enough for conservatives, and Christine O’Donnell might not always represent them well. But the clean-shaven Marxist will never help a conservative cause unless it’s by accident.

i.e.:
Tea party offers second chance
Christine O’Donnell may have burst onto the national stage this week as the tea party’s latest challenge to the Republican establishment, but she’s hardly a new face in Delaware, where she lost two previous bids for the Senate, in 2006 and 2008.
And O’Donnell, the upset winner over Rep. Mike Castle in Tuesday’s GOP Senate primary, is hardly the only Republican with a losing record who has found success in the anti-establishment tea party. Across the country, many of this year’s tea party candidates are outsiders only because they have failed in previous attempts over the years to become insiders. In fact, some lost multiple Republican primary or general election campaigns before recasting themselves as tea party champions.

Steamwake, the Marxist they are referring to in the above quote is the Democrat Chris Coons, not Mike Castle.
This is the quote about Mike Castle:
If you’re a Mike Castle supporter, you will have just seen a man who’s spent his career serving Delaware – with nary a peep of serious objection from the state’s GOP grassroots – rejected for daring to deviate from conservative orthodoxy and the chances of a GOP majority in the Senate seem to go up in flames. You’ve watched the opposition misrepresent his record. And for who? A freelance publicist who has never held office before?

Sadly, it seems to be moving more in that direction. The last ten years have been pretty bad with it, and it will probably continue if we don't get a really good candidate that people will actually vote for.
Political campaigns are supposed to tell us why we should vote for the candidate, not why we should vote against their opponent. I'm pretty much burnt out on politics at this point. Everybody's Hitler, everybody wants to destroy America, everybody will ruin your life...

WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 Christine O'Donnell, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate from Delaware, broke election laws by misusing campaign funds, a Washington watchdog group alleges.
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said Monday it has complained to the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office and the Federal Election Commission, accusing O'Donnell of using campaign funds for personal living expenses.

Christine O'Donnell is in a fantasy world. Literally. The pretty Palin Mini-Me identifies with the women of Middle Earth, comparing herself to the female characters in the Lord of the Rings novels by J.R.R. Tolkien.
"Look at the significance that he gives to Eowyn, the Lady of Rohan," O'Donnell said on C-Span in 2003. "She was a warrior spirit and, to me, that's who I love. I mean, I aspire to be soft and gentle like Arwen, but realistically, I'm a fighter, like Eowyn." O'Donnell said she liked Tolkien's outlook on gender: "On the one hand, there's the attitude that's normally on the conservative side - as a conservative woman, I feel I can say this - that stifles women. There's almost the stereotypical attitude of, to be a true woman, you have to stay at home. And I've actually had people say to me, 'Why do you choose a career over marriage?' Honestly, I've had only a few significant relationships, and they've broken up with me. And one of the things I've been told is, 'If you weren't so strong, you'd be married by now."'

So does that mean she just lost a load of votes, after all if JK Rowlings work is evil and corruptive because its got wizards in it then surely Tolkien must be evil fiction too.

It's hard to judge her due to needing campaign money for everyday needs.

WILMINGTON, Del. — One of the great truisms of 20th century politics, attributed to the legendary House Speaker Tip O’Neill, is that all politics is local. If this year tells us anything, though, it’s that O’Neill’s adage may now be as much a part of history as he is.Just take the example of Christine O’Donnell, the Republican Senate candidate in Delaware. Ms. O’Donnell is ubiquitous on conservative cable shows and talk radio, with her candidacy hyped by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and the California-based Tea Party Express. But you can barely find a trace of Ms. O’Donnell or her campaign in Delaware itself, a state that is smaller than some national parks.

Most of the polls have Coons up by 20 points, so the issue is moot. Honestly, the witchcraft thing was so ridiculous that she shouldn't have even acknowledged it. By doing so, she only directs attention away from the issues that she wants to talk about and gives her opponent's spin machine control of the discourse. O'Donnell has clearly studied campaign stragegy at the Sarah Palin school of political theatre.

Therein lies the reason for the end of the love afair between Team R and the Tea Party. It is an action replay of what happened to Team D and the Green Party. Ideologues from the fringes are sent through the primaries only to lose in the general election, resulting in a net loss for the team.
I cheered the Green Party, just as I cheer the Tea Party in hopes that they would fracture each of the parties with the result being an end to the suffocating dual political edifice. That cheer is always in vain. The Republicans will squash the Tea Party, just as the Democrats squashed the Greens. Their self-interests demand as much.

I agree that the pubs can be just as bad. As far as the upcoming elections go, most of the races you see have the pubs running on political ideas, and the dems running on personal attacks. Granted, they are the same ideas we've been promised our whole lives, but at least they have a place in the arena. I also agree on the evolution bit being ridiculous in this day and age, but remember she is running on a Christian platform. She isn't the first and sadly wont be the last. Even Obama scrambled to prove his Christianity when it became an issue for a short while. The majority of the country is Christian and as you know, politicians will say anything to appeal to the masses. I wish there was no religion in politics, but thats just how it is. I dont believe any of them, dem or pub. The pubs wont fix anything but at least they'll be able to put the brakes on the steady decline that Obama and this congress have been taking us on. We are in trouble either way. Its now basically a choice between falling flat on our faces or putting our hands out before we hit the ground.

I agree that the pubs can be just as bad. As far as the upcoming elections go, most of the races you see have the pubs running on irrational fear, misrepresentation and buzzwords, and the dems running on "oh my god, I'm a pansy and don't let me lose my seat let me distance myself from the Democratic party as a whole as far as possible."
Fixed that for ya.

Thats about right. Except the dems also are a fan of misrepresentation and buzzwords. I hate the two party system anyways. Its like that Southpark episode where your vote always goes to either a giant douche or a turd sandwich.

I just got my "vote early" absentee ballot in the mail yesterday... and now when I start filling it out, all I'm going to see where the names are is "Giant Douche" and "Turd Sandwich."

The ballots should contain visual aids.

Not really directly relevant, but everyone should read this essay at least once in their life. Yes, I have posted it before and yes, I will post it again.

Al Franken doesn't need a 'shopped photo to be an idiot, he does that by himself.

He graduated from Harvard cum laude. He actually earned his way into the Ivy League, unlike some people..

Probably because he doesn't want to respond to your flamebaiting. What's up with you today? You need to dial it back a little; no need to adhere to the principles of The Third Man School of Polemics.

Degree in political "science."
Dunno why they are even allowed to cal poly sci science. POly sci classes—regardless of what school—are a joke. He'd have flunked any of my astrophysics, physics, or math classes at my state school. So compared to people in fields that actually require intelligence, he's indeed an idiot—though maybe he's a genius at poly sci, of course, my dog might be a genius at poly sci.
I will gr5ant you that Franken is considerably smarter than O'Donnell, who is clearly quite stupid.
