Ahem, french military losses in wwi were about 1.1 million... to the USA's 100k. 20 years go by, the effects of 1.1 m losses are still fresh, so, yeah, i'd surrender too.

If anything people should bash the USA for entering both wars late enough to turn tides but still take less casulties. In video game speak, that is known as "cheeseing"

No, no one should bash the USA, cause as much as everyone hates to admit it, without the U.S's help, britain wouldve fallen, although itd take a HELL of a long time. probably the Soviet union too, as when britain fell, the germans and italians wouldve pushed against the russians. and if japan didnt hit us, they wouldve also hit the russians with massive air power, destroying their factories on the east coast, rendering their war machine severely reduced, and eventually overwhelmed. just because we didnt want to go into yet another conflict because wed be fighting three countries no matter who we waged war on, doesnt mean the usa should get bashed. the U.S took more initiative, took the most military losses of the war betewen all major allied countries. the only one who lost more was the Russians, and thats because they led suicidal charges all the time. we fought 3 countries at once, starting with the japs, then italians and then in 1944 we fought the germans. U.S shouldnt be bashed at all...

Yes, we should, and for a variety of reasons.

You seem to miss mobucks' real point, which is that neither should the French be bashed. And his arguments do have some merit, from the European point of view. If the United States had entered the war earlier our European allies would likely have taken less casualties and the war may have ended sooner.

Our reasons for not doing so go back two hundred years, and are good ones, but so are the Europeans' reasons for complaining.

The russians kicked the Japaneses arses back in Khalkhin Ghol. i don't think they would be keen enough to attack the soviet union again. its also annoying how americans portray themselves as the winners of ww2. no one won that war, everyone lost. (except for the capitalists making money off it)
