2.5 million divided by 72 = sufficient virgins for 34,722 martyrs.

By my rought calucations there have been approx 1800 suicide attacks by Muslums since the start of the decade so that leaves 32,922 remaining spots in paradise...

Start counting them down fellas! At the current virgin per martyr usage rate only 200 more years and they will be out of virgins! :rock:

- 1800 may be the number of martyrs in this decade, however as the Garden of Eden exists since the beginning of time one has to calculate the number of martyrs since the beginning of the martyr business. Given the fact that the world population took a dramatic rise since the 19th century one can say that the number of martys/year was significant lower before. It was even lower before the knowledge of blackpowder as it was notably harder to blow oneself up without the help of explosives.

- the source states also that not only the martyrs but also the prophets and the rightous get rewarded with virgins. The number of martyrs is up to discussion, a quick reserarch told me that the quran states 25 prophets by name, from Adam to Muhammed so at least 25x25=225 virgins less. Ibn Sa'd Baghdadi, a Muslim historian who lived in the 9th century claimed already 1000 prophets, while today some people evem claim up to 224000 prophets, a number which would dramatically reduce the virgin supply.

- The big unknown number is the number of rightous people. Any estimation is very hard to make. As any religous person would agree with, is rightousness defined by God and the judgement rightous person/non-rightous person is mostly pronounced after death. So any numbers on rightous people are pure speculation.

- Another unknown component is if there are other palaces in the Garden of Eden, a hint could be that Bahr only talks about the black-eyed virgins. So one could also speculate that there are also palaces with brown-, blue-, green- and maybe even red-eyed (albino) virgins. Considering the fact that god treats all eye colours the same, one can say that the palaces for the other eye colours would be the standard building with 500 gates. This would at least quadruple the number of virgins.

Conclusion: any estimates on the virgin stash - or the time when the virgins will run out - are pure speculation and are very hard to calculate by our scientific methods.
