I hate to say this guys, but with everyone dropping, and pressure from my girlfriend, I have decided to drop out of this Subsim meet. I love meeting and visiting places I never have. However, this is the first one I've felt uncomfortable attending by putting pressure on people I've only spoken to once or through PM's.

I apologize now, I made the call to Southwest 12AM waking my roommate up but I do feel better having do so.

I hope you all have a great time and looking forward to the pictures!

All the best,
Chad :salute:

Sorry to hear this Chad but I do understand what you must be going through my friend.

I'll never forget the 2008 Meet in Texas two years ago when I was able to not only meet some of The Grey Wolves but a lot of other great people such as yourself, Jason, Neal, James, John, Mark, Mike and so many others (sorry I can't name you all but you are all equally appreciated and valued).

I've not said much on this years trip because I felt a tad guilty not making it last year even though it clashed with my 25th wedding anniversary.

After the 2008 Meet I vowed I'd never fly so long and far away on my own again. I only did it that time because it was the chance to meet everyone for the first time.

I've posted on a few threads in this section asking for a travelling companion from the UK but to no avail.

Looking at the itinerary for this trip it looks like it could well be the best Meet yet, especially for those like myself who like to see warships and submarines, there is so much on offer it is almost unbelievable.

I will confess if I had of been coming that I would have wanted to stay in a hotel, after travelling so far I believe in having a few 'home comforts'.

If next years Meet is in Europe I hope to be there but the downside is there'll probably be a few guys from the States who I'd love to meet that will not be able, for whatever reason to travel.

If that is the case I'll just have to wait until the following year and hope at least one other Brit will be prepared to cross the pond (IIRC I was the only Brit at Texas in 2008) so I can't blame either side for not being able to travel.

TO EVERYONE ATTENDING THIS YEAR.....KEEP SAFE AND HAVE A FANTASTIC TRIP http://www.psionguild.org/forums/images/smilies/wolfsmilies/thumbsup.gif
