Arclight, I could kiss you for bringing this news  The only thing I'm waiting on is The Last Guardian, but it will come out in it's own good time.

Holiday 2011, confirmed @ TGS. (Good enough?)

For all the Non-US gamers, perhaps you could enlighten us as to what that actually means for people using a traditional calendar?:hmmm:

I mean, WTF! New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas or are Team ICO spying on my pre-booked holiday dates for 2011. Seriously. :|

Hell yes. I knew it'd happen eventually. Hopefully the SoTC remake can include some of the cut colossi, but I'd settle for "just" HD visuals.

This is great news! :yeah:

Never got to try Ico, but I loved Shadow of the Colossus. These will definitely be a good refresher for The last Guardian.

Yesterday we told you that HD remakes of Team ICO’s celebrated PS2 adventure games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus have been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 (http://epicbattleaxe.com/ico-shadow-of-the-colossus-coming-to-ps3/), but today we deliver word on the details surrounding the project. First, the games will be released together on a single Blu-ray disc in North America and Europe as part of the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection coming our way in Spring 2011. Such is NOT the case in Japan though, where the two titles will be released separately. No matter how you get them though, both titles will support HD resolution, run at 30fps, feature “extensive re-texturing” and include PlayStation Network Trophy support. Lastly, the version of Ico included in the collection will be the European version, which contained additional content such as a co-op mode and alternate ending.
Excited? You should be and you can check out a trailer for the Team ICO collection right here (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-10-ico-shadow/704598) to see just why.
On a related note, a new trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/tgs-10-the-last/704589) for Team ICO’s next project – The Last Guardian (http://epicbattleaxe.com/tag/the-last-guardian/) – has debuted at TGS and concludes with a release date of “Holiday 2011″. Looks like the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection will have to hold fans off for a bit longer than initially expected.

One of the other things that I heard (but now I can't remember or find the source) is that ICO and SotC will both support 3d vision for 3d televisions. That to me is *meh* but the HD re-texturing will make both games even more gorgeous than when they first came out.

Something else to note, this year for the Video Games Live concert they will feature music from SotC. Video Games Live is pretty much a show that travels around featuring the music from various video games, and is an amazing show to go to IMO.
