Today i found that you can bury your dead at sea, never knew that, and that if you uncheck auto loader you can move, and mix and match your load out, never knew that either, thanks to subsim posts.
I have played this sim for 5 years and still learning, but still enjoying it too.

I learned that you can remove the menus with . on the num pad
and control page up/down to raise/lower the periscope.

Thanks to the forum

Right click on the dead crewman and you will get the option to bury him at sea.

Some things I have have never seen in my game: Injured crewmen, always dead. I still keep a medic or two aboard, just in case. Luftwaffe airstrikes, in spite of radioing in my sightings.

Those key tricks are neat for taking great screenshots. I hate seeing a good screenshot marred by the dials or mouse pointer. Makes it hard to imagine that what you are looking at is a real picture.

The bane of my existence. I don't know how many times I've snapped what I thought was a great series of shots in the heat of battle, only to go back through them later and find a big ol' mouse pointer smack in the middle of every one. :damn:

I used to get a laugh out of folks over at the Ubi forum who had sour grapes over losing the screenshot competition, meanwhile their pics had dials and mouse pointers all over the place.

Simple to correct using paint or irfanview et al....simply select a similar area on the screenshot and copy and paste over the pinter.

I have to admit I've done that a few times.

If you'd said any other I'd have retorted "well you've never taken a screenshot" :DL

Of course....I never have :smug:

I like to keep the cursor just out of sight near the chronometer, thus showing the time and date of the event.

I had no idea you could bury the dead at sea! But then, I've never had to. :D

Actually, that's not true. I have had crew die at sea, it's just that I was among the dead when it did happen.

Well then they, and you, received a proper burial at sea. I don't see the problem here... :O:
