An explanation:

I was shadowing a passenger/cargo in very heavy seas. Everytime a huge wave went over the bridge the watch spotted the ship again. I wanted to get ahead of her to set an an attack but could only TC to 8x.

TC to 8x...
Wave over the bridge
Drop to 1x
"Schiff gesichtet!"

Rinse and repeat.

I wanted to attack at dawn but as soon as I got ahead enough to turn in and close the range I said enough is enough and used map tools to get AotB and fired blind into the black night. Three eels went out. Two went BOOM!

Passenger/Cargo went down.

You could also plot your victims course for a few minutes then use the 'end around' method and await their arrival.

Ah... should've thought of that but I was running late for work and just took a chance. This morning I started a new patrol out of Kiel and plotted an outbound canal plus a course to the English coast and just let the bugger run while I took off to work.:DL Currently I'm passing the Frisian Isles. My roomates think I'm nuts. Hmm...:hmmm:


You could also plot your victims course for a few minutes then use the 'end around' method and await their arrival.
