He fired it into the grass at a bunch of MS-13 thugs. Good going!
MS-13 are an organized roving gang that have been storming into homes and looting them lately.
I vote this guy New York's Man of the Year. :yeah:

I guy I work with was with his GF at a friend's house when a bunch of neighborhood thugs showed up and started hassling him. It got so bad that his friend thought that his and his friends lives were in danger so he grabbed his AR-15.
Some of the thugs walked away at this point, some stayed, but one guy kept talking $hit.
"oh its an airsoft gun", "its a BB gun, don't worry".
Eventually the cops showed up with my co-worker's friend pointing an AR at these guys and scared out of his mind.
The cop arrested some of the trouble makers and temporary confiscated the AR. Right in front of Mr. Its a BB gun the cop removed the magazine and started counting off the rounds. the dumb @ss got real quiet after that.
---------------------------------
Now the Nassu Police arrest this guy? WTF!
Only mistake this guy on Long Island made is that he didn't empty the clip in the gang bangers and then charge the rest with the Bayonet.
I'm sad to live in NY today...

And what is wrong with defending one's self? As soon as a gun is produced the confrontation ends.
Give your selves a chance.

If that were in Texas, I doubt he would have been charged with anything at all. One good thing about this state. You can blow a burgler away if you catch him in your house. I think if you want to break into homes for a living, you've got to be an absolute idiot to do it in Texas.

On the one hand, it is admirable to take a proactive approach to defending oneself and one's home. On the other hand, MS 13 does not screw around, they know where he lives and they probably won't be shy about extracting revenge on someone who shot at their guys. I don't think that those threats uttered against this man and his family are idle.

If revenge is the issue It is wrong by moral execution and law. Shame on You/
Revenge is not the issue. Criminal activity which resolves the act does,. Some looks at is as an eye for an eye. But what it really means is justice.

I was thinking this too. Growing up in Southern California, i learned a long time ago, you mess with one Bean, you get the whole Burrito. (Pardon the "colorful" metaphor, but I don't know how else to state it.) At any rate, this man will have bigger issues ahead with that gang. Of that I have no doubt.

:damn:
Damn thats one of mine too!
I posted that just before going to bed, and was really tired... :03:
Then again there are weapons like the Enfield or SKS that combined the two... :hmmm:
You'll probably find he was actually aiming to hit them....
The AK isn't exactly the most accurate firearm of them all.
Bloody rugged and reliable though. :yep:

:yep: Welcome to his real life Grand Torino Clint Eastwood movie. There will be a house for sale in Nassau County real soon. To think that is were I was born. Glad I left town in 73.
Personally, I would have done the same thing. However, I probably would not have shot at the grass. :03:

The enfield has a magazine that is detachable, but can also be loaded from stripper clips, rifles like the k98 k have a built in magazine. So its isnt really a combination of themagazine andclip, just an added feature on those rifles.

Imagine the real estate pitch.
'As you can see, the property boasts three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, an attached two-car garage, lovely southern exposure and a free-standing basement wine rack that was constructed by the previous owner just before he was run out of town by an international drug cartel that operates in the neighborhood.'
Did someone say clip? :hmmm:

BOX Magazine. :O:
And since I'm on the subject. The Term "Lock and Load" means, "Lock the bolt forward, and Load the magazine. Seems like hollywood and backyard rambo's like to think it's the other way around, slapping a round in the chamber, and thereby charging the weapon.

I'm not sure the guy could have done anything else at the time, especially with the death threats toward his family.
What annoys me is the fact that if he stays in the house the outcome will more than likely be the same as that in the Grand Torino film, I doubt the police would be able to protect him forever.
