Obama to Comment Friday on Jobless Report
Obama to comment on unemployment report Friday before going to Camp David retreat
The Associated Press
WASHINGTON September 3, 2010 (AP)
President Barack Obama will speak to reporters Friday after the Labor Department releases its monthly jobless report.
Analysts expect the unemployment rate to rise slightly, to 9.6 percent from 9.5 percent.
In the afternoon, the president will leave for the Camp David presidential retreat in the Catoctin (kuh-TAHK'-tin) Mountains of Maryland.

It wouldent be so grating if this wasent his 6th or 7th 'vacation' since taking office. Not to mention the dozens of golf outings.
Also it presents a bad facade... "I'm here to talk about jobs.. sorry you dont have any, I'm doing everything I can to get you one.. now if you will excuse me I'm off on yet another vacation".
These are indeed tough times which might call for some sacrafices.
Personally I think Obama (and his family) realizes he is a one term wonder and is going to party down every chance they get. At least thats an impression I am left with.

Not to mention he returned from two weeks vacation in Martha's Vineyard just this past Sunday.
President of the US is a 24/7, 365 day a year job. Obama wanted it, got it and now is on perpetual vacation when 9.6% of our people are wondering how they are going to eat next week.
Obama's, self proclaimed, laser beam focus on the economy doesn't match his deads.

Well, it is Labor Day weekend. Everyone is going to some retreat for a three day chill. Obama is not exempt from that. No reason he can not enjoy a BBQ or whatever on Labor Day.
And yes, joblessness sucks but I do not think Obama can solve it over the next three days. See ya Tuesday.

Makes no difference. It is a Federal holiday. Also, the man was on vacation with his family. No different if I was on vacation last week and now taking a 3 day chill for Labor Day. Bottom line, the government is off. What will BO accomplish?

Yeah I remember how upset you were with W's constant vacations to the Crawford ranch.
This is Mr. Obama's 9th vacation since taking office. As of today, he has spent all or part of 38 days on "vacation" away from the White House. He has also made 14 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 32 days. It brings his total time away to all or part of 70 days.
It's less than the "vacation" time taken during the same period by his immediate predecessor. (Former President George W. Bush gets the quotation marks too.)
As of this point in his 1st term, Mr. Bush had made 14 visits to his Texas ranch spanning all or part of 102 days. He also made 40 visits to Camp David spanning all or part of 123 days. His "vacation" total at this point in his presidency was all or part of 225 days away.

The picture of which i speak is two monkeys screetching and throwing **** at eachother, both are identical in deed but diametrically oposed in rethoric and facts are never, ever touched upon. Those who try to bring facts into the discussion or do not take an extreme stance are called limp wristed pansies or either wing extremists. I am ridiculing you because they way you present your political opinion is, in my view, ridiculous and what you seem to base your political opinion on is nothing more than the party line, some political hacs who make their money by creating outrage over the smalles, most insignificant things thereby turning the entire theatre of political reporting into a farce. There are others on the other side of the political spectrum guilty of the same.
On another note, the whole notion that there is the left and the right, those being the only possible options, is ****ing ridiculous, grow up and stop seeing the world in black and white for ****s sake, it is a lot more complicated than that. Actual political opinions that are worth a damn can not be spat out in a ****ing soundbite for mindless drones to chant out, that practice should have died out a long time ago, but no such luck.
Yet another reason for me to go after you is the fact that from your posting you seem to be a troll to my eyes, not a very good one at that, but poking you provides me with some entertainment during this long night of absolute boredom. What I will say is that I'm glad Obama is on vacation. When he's on vacation he isn't in Washington speaking to lawmakers or otherwise actively pursuing any kind of policy. I see that as a good thing. Heck, I wish he'd take the rest of the term off. He's done so much for the American people already. Isn't it time he took a little break? I mean, he's gotta be beat after this summer of amazing economic recovery. In fact, let's just give the executive and legislative branches of government a vacation for like, ten years. That ought to give the economy time to catch up with the ridiculous demands placed upon it. Money spent to pay Washington for doing absolutely nothing could well be the best investment we've ever made in government.
