Of course!

US Justice Department removes stars and stripes from web site and adopts a less "Americanized" format.

what else have they thrown in?

a new banner quote

"The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people."
- C. Wilfred Jenks

for the unknowing, C. Wilfred Jenks was a leading proponent of the "international law" movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law back in the 1930s.

Don't you know the stars and stripes mean something to those who cling to their guns or religion?

The rest of us who live in CIVIL law jurisdictions (derived from the Napoleonic Code) would disagree with that somewhat chauvinistic statement...:03:

btw - The state of Louisiana is a civil law juridiction. I wonder if the dept. of Justice knows that.

It's bright, colorful, and cheery. :DL

:hmmm:

OTOH, the USDOJ site does have the distinction of not looking so much like a squared-up kumquat. :D
