Yeah, I can see one... you need to get a bit closer though - it looks barely more than a dot...
That is a really dumb title but an interesting concept + cool graphics. At least the fact that there are no 18" guns or laser cannons mounted on these things promises the possibility of balance between gameplay and some sort of realistic limits. I really doubt that a game of this nature would actually go all the way to strive for actual realism, but as long as it keeps a reasonable balance, it might be worth checking out...

I agree that it does look pretty cool, albeit limited. I also agree that the title is completely lame.

It's a good little bash, quite addictive. I did a bit of the open EU beta on it, but I'll tell you one thing, and I hope they've changed it, I really do...but if they haven't...
You will HATE artillery....you will come to loathe the sight of it...you will come to fear not the tank destroyers but the damn artillery that uses the fact that the tank you're lining up on has spotted you to drop a shell directly on your head.
Artillery is massively overpowered...and I really hope that this is something they have fixed because it was rather annoying. However, at its best, it is a blast. :up:
EDIT: Besides, I'm still waiting for my Cromwell...or even better...Centurion, tank :D

How's the game's gunnery and damage? Just curious - I figure if it's somewhere on the Flashpoint/ArmA level, it should be at least acceptable.
What's the game flow like, anyway? Does it take place on big maps or more just the usual arena-type confined maps? Is there any element of MMO-type free roaming, or is it all just high-pitched PvP battles (sort of like Navy Field, say...)?

I check-it out and the arcade play is not for me, although I have to say
the texture mapping used on the models is superb. I am striving to obtain
that level of texture map skill and beauty for T34 vs Tiger. And when I do - boy! it will be awesome :D.

good God, I just got my first kill :D
Upgraded to a T26, my first battle in it I end up being the last person alive on my team, having an intense stand off with some other guy, we were pretty much neck and neck, but I managed to get the last shell to count and blew him into next week. About a millisecond before I got blown there with him too lol.

Sometimes the random battles are a little unfair (i.e. 4 medium tanks on one team to the other's 1), but overall I have no complaints. Just got my first medium tank (Panzer III) last night, upgrading it and going for a Panzer IV next. Hoping to eventually hit the Tiger and King Tiger.

a few days ago in a battle i saw tanks from Leichttractor to IS4
the guy with the Leichttractor wrote in the chat: "hello, i'm here to kill the Tigers!"
and 10 seconds later he was burnt down
He was a brave man ... but excessively optimistic
perhaps you were the one who did it. :D

Im currently running around in a KV, not the best heavy tank - keep getting shot up by artillery which always manages to hit my tracks ALL THE TIME!
Hope UK tanks will be out, so I get me a Firefly or Comet:D

At first I was wondering when the fun would begin, then I started my research and upgraded my tank. Really fun game play and the communication system is cool with the map. Sometimes I hang back, other time I go in guns a blazing. Now if I only had more gold because I'm out of ammo...:O:

It is fun but get repetative. You get 150 more gold each night you sign in after 8 pm.
Ah cool. The repetitiveness is there for sure, but if you use some strategy it can be fun depending on the crowd your in.

True. I think the developer is leaning hard on people starting clans. This would be fine but I still believe the game would take off if there was more creative programs for the player. In short, making maps or developing campaigns.
I was able to 'capture the flag' a few time now even if I had to shoot it out till the end.
I managed to do a one day upgrade for the premium version and found the map terrain much steeper. There are ridges you must go around and this channels the forces more evenly. It tends to make the game split up the warfare contact.
Its still what it is as far as a game goes but makes for some quick and fun entertainment. I like it. :yeah:

I have a very good internet conection,but I don't know why I have 150 ping,it's always oscilating.I think the conection is long to the server.I have a Luchs tank,a Sturmpanzer Bison and a Panzer III Ausf A,I have to finish reserching the last engine on the Ausf A,the rest of the tanks are fully upgraded.

This ping is normal since the servers are closed in europe
sometimes i ave a ping over 200 (from Germany) and bad lags ... but it's playable

I have a Tiger, VK3601(H), VK3001(P), PzIII/IV, BT-7 and A-20 at the moment. Currently working towards a T-34, Tiger II and VK3002(DB). You'll find things go a lot quicker at the higher levels.

Nice one ..But I feel you should have gone the KV3 way..she have better armour than the KV1s.
I have a fully pimped out KV3 and she can take a pounding at the hands of other heavy tanks and i love her. I also have a IS and a Tiger 1 with the big 88 on her, but I find myself jumping back into my KV3 more offen than not.

Apparently, according to the latest WoT Facebook update, US tanks are being added in today's patch!!!!!!!!! :D Sherman here I come :arrgh!:

If you are part of the beta I recommend you try the American tanks. I'm having a lot of fun with the game. There is also a new map in the desert. Excellent map. I was ok with the game until the American tanks were available. Now I really like the game.

Really fun game, especially if you are in a clan and on vent or ts.

Is much more fun in a clan, as you can be more tactical instead of the usual rush. Had games were my clan had 3 platoons in same battle (easy-just sync platoons to join at same time) and had great battles.

The good thing about WOT is that it is bringing tanking to everyone. Let's hope it sparks some interest in tank simulations.

exactly........everytime i hear the moaners in the games General chat about how WOT is nothing like a sim..........i point em over here :D
it is a FPS really, but i still think they should be applauded for at least bringing a tank based game to the market

Murkz I was referring to Panzer Elite Action both Dunes of War and Paths of Glory not to PE .I know the distinction betzeen all " games since I play Panzer Elite Gold Edition and my young sons play the Action ones... Just poking fun at WOT.
Tigershuffle; you have a point; WoT has had the merit of suscitating interest in tank games and let' s hope people try tank sims and get a taste for it.

I just had my best result with the T-34. Not much for many perhaps but it was in BT-7 that I had similar results so ... yes T-34 is a great tank.

:'( = because I shot a enemy IS but didn't penetrate shortly after I rammed that low % armor enemy IS in the back and fired my gun point blank range...

I assume it's a bug (or maybe my set-up) but as soon as the round starts all the tanks disappear.I can only see their shadow on the ground.
In the count-down to start I can see them no problem.

Lost the will to play a bit after the game went gold and I lost all my stuff but I've recently got back into it again. Also downloaded some skins and stuff, and had a go at customizing them a bit :D
Cos I removed the decal file I had to add the cross to my new Bison I, along with the 'Demon's Run' on the front and the kill count on the side (which I am updating! :D)
