This picture was taken of a crew member on U-657 who was charged and found guilty of thieving rations as well as falling asleep whilst on hydrophone watch. He was sentenced to serve 4o days confinement in the toilet.

Haha - I hope the cook didn't do a stinker in there before you put him in. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment!
