They also have started to released pieces of the new version, 2 of 9. This is to reduce stress for their servers on release day of the full update, until then they want to release most parts of the update. There will be the option to order a DVD+download option, or just the download version.

The new program is ready, as far as I understood, the delay (release was intended for today) is due to problems with their download shop.

Of the 9 parts of the download version, all but one have been released. they can be downloaded, to reduce stress on their server once the big day has come (estimated 1-2 days from now on - maybe already tomorrow). It is 8 zip-archives of almost 100 MB each. They cannot be run without the final, the last, the 9th part, which is an exe file.

The licence on the dongle needs to be updated in order for the new version of SBP to run. It will be done during the procedure in their webshop.

Just finished updating as well. Deinstalling, cleanup, installing took some time, but worked flawlessly, so did the download and dongle licence upgrade.

Just did my first battle with old tanks, T-55s and T-62s versus M-60s and me in a Leo-1.

What a masscre on both sides. The bugs did not stop to pop up everywhere once they had been sighted. It definetly is a very different kind of battle with these old tanks, much more lethal, since even with those older ammunitions all these four tanks seem to be more vulnerable to those old rounds than modern tanks are to modern ammunition. Not really what I expected - I expected it the other way around.

I think the T-72 arrived before the Leo-2. It must have rang panic bells in Brussel, for at its time it was superior to the 55 and 62, and in toughness of armour and ammunition quality (the bigger gun anyway) probably also to the M60 and Leo-1. the only advantage maybe was the thermal displays of the Western tanks.

Four versions of T-72s now in SBP.
