Operation drumbeat has just begun, and already 75k tonnage has been delivered to the ocean floor, on time and will everything included. First Full Blown Patrol with Manual Targeting (Map contacts). Gotta say that MT is BORING when your attacking harbor ship. however sometimes it gets frustrating against moving targets. took me 7 reloads of the game to FINALLY hit an LST. The torpedo kept overshooting. on the last attempt it caught the VERY TIP of the bow and detonated. 4 ships sunk at sea while 5 were sunk in a harbor. i snapped PLENTY of Screenshots of my sucess :). wtf are you talking about? there wasnt any cheats or mods. read the heading above the pics and youll see. and this is all manual targeting too. my favorite is the merchant who split in two and sank inward with its bow 80 feet in the air. ahaha i tried to go under but the glitch stoped and the bow smashed on top of me and crushed my sub. :( the last few pictures are of the same boat. in chrono order. it got bombarded by my deck gun >8D

...reloading whenever you miss is quite equivalent to cheating... that way you can of course achieve a 100% hit rate and sink 150.000 GRT per patrol.
Wouldn't this make any game boring?

It could be argued that external view is cheating. Or reloading. Or anything less than 100%.

But since they put all these options into the game to suit everyone's play style, it would be silly not to use them.

Exactly. They put the options there so they can be used. Saying what is correct and what isn't correct isn't correct. I don't know why people feel they need to pass judgement on what someone else finds fun, just because they don't play that way. Everyone's a cheater in some way. I cheat all the time.

If you had actually read my second to last post, you wouldve seen that i didnt mean no mods at all, just no cheat mods. probably shouldve scrolled up, then make conclusions.

Hell I had to reload heaps in SH3 when I was learning to use the manual targetting..... Then I turned duds on, OMG nothing goes bang!!!!! :rotfl2:

SH5 is a little easier the SH3, but I don't have any mods on SH5 yet. :damn:

I wanted to try the game without first as I did with both SH3 and 4.

GWX and Commander made SH3 a totally diiferent game! And I didn't have to pay Ubi for it :arrgh!:

So when I finish SH5 onc ethorugh (maybe) then I will hit the mods to make it an unreal experience. :rock:
