Oh god... It's beautiful... :o

Finally, a new game of Ace Combat. It's been a while since the last time I played Ace Combat 4, 5, Zero, and 6.

Finally the Ps3 get's an Ace game. :D

And oh my god it's awesome. I love how the Namco Bandai thing was on that guy's cellphone.

This video reminded me that I should get Ace Combat 6 now that i have a 360.

Definetly the one I enjoyed the most. :yep:

It's weird: don't like arcade games but Ace Combat goes down really well.

What does it for me is the storyline, radio chatter, and the music, particularly in 5. :yep: Made you really feel like you were in the middle of something.

Agreed. :)

What attracted me to the series in general was the 3D cockpit. Was nice looking out through the glass, look back at the wing. And each plane had it's own unique model. Replays were cool as well, seeing the afterburners engage, speedbrakes deploying and contrails from the wingtips while maneuvering. Oh, and keeping the fire button pressed to follow the munition. Neat features.

Didn't have a PC at the time, so it was as close as I was gonna get to a sim. AC obviously isn't a sim, but it has enough attention to detail to make it look/feel authentic.

The Dualshock 2 made a lot of difference too, with the all-analog controls. Could keep the brakes lightly pressed and maneuvre right at minimum speed, turn really tight. Or try to maintain maximum speed without afterburners in the unavoidable canyon-flying mission.

unavoidable canyon-flying mission.

Oh God, I used to have nightmares about the 'Tunnel Vision' mission in Electrosphere, I'm sure I could ace it now but when I was like 10 it was hard as hell :D

I wonder, since this game seems to be based on actually locations and conflicts, if this means there will not be giant space lasers, or things of that nature.

I hope they're still in the game, because I loved the mission in Ace Combat 5 where you had to intercept the Laser platform thing and shoot it down.

So is it Russia or Cuba as the bad guys.:hmmm:

Considering how neither country has the ability to invade, I suppose the game is in some sort of fantasy land.:DL
