Bioshock 3 has been announced.
And the great thing is that it is no longer underwater!

It'll be set in 1912(before Bioshock 1) and follows Booker DeWitt a disgraced former private detective looking for a young woman who's gone missing. You end up going to Columbia a floating city.

Here's a First look at the game with a lot of neat details.
I like the fact that the world is open enough that you can actually snipe people.

BioShock Infinite Goes Beyond The Sea & Into The Skies (http://kotaku.com/5607451/bioshock-infinite-goes-beyond-the-sea--into-the-skies)
Meh, trailer wasn't particularly impressive. When that girl gets yanked away from the window, it kinda has a "cartoon" feel. You know; *grab* *pause* "Oh noes!" *yank*
That combined with the bright colors... I dunno, not gonna judge a game by a trailer, but the trailer itself seems like something a 12-year old would make.
I'm sure the atmosphere and storyline are fine though, should make for an interesting experience if you're into these games.

It did seem kind of cartoony. But it is only a teaser. Watching the Kotaku video makes me envious of these Game journalists who get limited edition posters and the like.

Is it just me, or do I see a trend with these people...

wow, looks kinda wierd but I still can't wait! If they can pull it off as well as Bioshock 1, it'll be a winner.
Another Bioshock? Why not just stop to the 2nd one if they are going to take most of what made BS so cool out in the 3rd. :nope:

I have to agree with Dowly. Granted, with Bioshock 2 I had that feeling. I think The Onion AV club described it best that Bioshock 2 was like a cover band. They play the same music and songs you love, but it just doesn't compare to the original.
Side note-Dowly, your signature is awesome. It makes me want to watch The Life of Brian.

See? Told you it reminded of Life of Brian. :haha:
Anyway, BioS 2 was made by a different studio, while this one is back in the hands of the original developer. And it's a new setting, not just more Rapture.
Never really liked the games (just don't really like first-person), but I'm curious how this one will turn out. :hmmm:

My problem with Bioshock 2 (which I'm still playing through), is that you don't feel like the a bad ass tank that the other big daddies represent. Hell I'm playing it on Easy just so I can get the feeling that I'm an actual big daddy, and not your normal person again.
I bet it falls into the sea in the end... :hmmm:

That would be kinda hard since it looks like it's over the great planes.

Apparently Bioshock 3 will be in it's own separate time line.

I'm glad to see it back in Kevin Levine's hands. That will definitely make it worth a look. I just thought the 1st Bioshock was so good and rounded out at the end, I don't see why any others were needed besides milking the cash cow. Still, sequels in games have more of a tendency to outdo their predecessor (Thief II, System Shock II, Mass Effect....).

I wonder, since this game has nothing to do with Adam, or little sisters, what the new economic system will be.
