A flight attendant for Jet Blue loses his composure.... Not that I really blame him.

NEW YORK (CBS 2)
Who hasn’t had a day when they wanted to tell somebody off and storm out of the workplace? Well, a JetBlue flight attendant apparently did just that.
Steven Slater was charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and trespassing after an argument with a passenger led to an apparent meltdown on the Kennedy Airport tarmac. His arraignment in Queens Criminal Court was set for Tuesday.

I don't understand why he's going to court? He had a bad day we all have one of those bad days. I've yelled a someone and never saw a cop? Can't people express there opinions in your nation without going to jail?
I think there is more to this story than there showing...
Doesn't make any sense. :06: Has to go to court for telling a guy off.. Jezz.. :nope:

I think whatever charges stick will be because he deployed the emergency exit system when he pulled his stunt likely causing the plane to be grounded for atleast the day (Costing the company a good bit of money likely) and theft.

I think you guys are missing the most important part (read: awesomest) of the story:
Authorities said Slater dropped several f-bombs on a JetBlue flight’s loud speaker, grabbed two beers, deployed the plane’s emergency slide, and then took off.

Yes. I believe a large part of the chages stem from the fact that he utilized an emergency system when there was no emergency. I will admit, however, that it was a very cool way to exit.

They mentioned on the news this morning that there was also the issue of maintenance/ground staff already being under and around the plane at the time he deployed the slide, which could have put them at risk for injury.
The story as of this morning was that a passenger had been up getting his luggage down from overhead while the plane was still in motion (which he should not have been doing). The flight attendant approached him to ask him to sit back down and the luggage ended up hitting him in the head (leaving the cut referred to in the linked story). The passenger refused to comply with the attendant's request, refused to apologize for causing the injury by not complying, and cursed out the attendant on top of it.
At which point, the attendant clearly decided that he was no longer interested in a career in customer service.
And I gotta say - there is no one in a customer service job who does not fantasize about doing something like this occasionally.
