VIDEO: A suspected Al Qaeda operative shown in these FBI photos — who lived for more than 15 years in the U.S. is now the chief of the terror group's global operations, marking the first time a leader so intimately familiar with American society has been placed in charge of planning attacks.

Does New Al Qaeda Chief Pose Major Threat to U.S.?

Has al-qaida ever been a major threat to the US
After all its just a smal bunch of nutty criminals with some nonsensical ideology.
The biggest threat is going over the top with reactions and the US itself destroying what the US is.

I think this guy will pose less of a threat than the traditional AQ leaders who lived overseas.

First of all, AQ has plenty of intel in this country. This guy is not going to add any more intel value to AQ.

Second, we already know a lot about this guy. That makes tracking and evaluating his patterns a lot easier than if the chief grew up on a foreign country that we had limited access to.

Here is something to ponder. If this guy were actually the head of global operations for AQ, and the FBI knew about it, why would the information be broadcast to the public???

The fact that this information was broadcast to the public, should raise the questions: Why and Why now? :hmmm::06:
