Codemasters has announced that Red River, an all-new chapter in the tactical shooter series Operation Flashpoint, is currently in development and targeting a release some time in 2011. The game, which is being developed for the PS3, 360 and PC, aims to deliver an “authentic and intensely personal” US Marine Corps infantryman experience featuring a campaign that will be set in the “remote yet beautiful” country of Tajikistan along the Vakhsh River.

So the next version of Operation Flashpoint has been announced.
It seems awfully like Operation Arrowhead. :hmmm:

It seems awfully doomed to fail.
I mean, if you like Dragon Rising, great, good for you. But most people didn't appreciate it too much. And now they're making a sequel...
Seems they're setting themselfs up for bankruptcy. :-?

Think I'll pass... Arma 2 has a new expansion coming out real soon anyways I believe.
Well, it has the British forces DLC coming out at the end of the month which is really nothing more than new units and a mini-campaign to showcase them in - and for which I am far too excited. They've got their work cut out though, some of the British forces mods currently doing the rounds are nothing short of remarkable. I'm looking forward to the inclusion of the Wildcat and Merlin helos, the new British voices and the Warrior, as well as those personnel units like crew and pilots that haven't been made yet.
Never played Dragon Rising. I was told there weren't actually any dragons in it and I lost interest after that.
