Server down?

I am unable to connect to the server this morning (Friday 6 August).

Attempts come up with the message:

"An internet connection is required to play this game. Failed to connect to Ubisoft master servers. Please check that your internet connection is functional and try again."

Are the servers down and if so anyone know what the problem is ?
