Just when I was enjoying SH5 I had saved a patrol when I spotted a large convoy but when I returned the convoy showed up then promptly disappeared! :x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x. That's it! I could only tolerate so much! This has got to be the worst game I've ever played and I thought Barbie's Horse Adventure was bad.:O::O::dead:

There is an unwritten rule when playing SH3 and SH4, 'Never save whilst in contact'
Strange things can occur.
I can only assume that rule also applies in SH5.

Really DavyJonesFootlocker, you've just noticed something that's always been an issue in SH games, for as long as I can remember.

I'm just amazed that it's been 4 hours and not one person has yet posted a quote of Subsim's editorial policy. Must be beddy-bye time in the US?

Well if you want to bring it to the assigned moderator's attention press http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/smartdark/report.gif
and report instead of complaining here that nothing is done about it.

What, the thread name is not obvious enough? :hmmm: I mean, you're here now, and you're a moderator. ;)

Yeah i do, it just doesnt look like it. I work swing shift. I never wake by an alarm clock. I stay up late, and get up late. It's wonderful. Ehh.. unless i got a burr up my butt and i start messing with files. Lately, the only thiing that keeps me going is a getting lite off me kiester. Kinda like right now.

Oh fear not. Every game has its fanboy's. They'll pounce on this tomorrow after they wake up and see someone's been dissin' their pet game.

Yes, but I'm not assigned to the SH 5 forum section so my word count as much as yours if you quote the subsim's editorial policy. ;)

Webster, Takeda Shingen or McBeck are assigned to this SH5 Forum and can enforce it if the OP posts something against a Subsim policy.

if you report they get a e-mail notification...as said you can at least bring it to their attention if you want to have something done about it.:)

You're a bad man, Reece, LOL!

I see the title has now been "cleansed" a bit.

I'm no fanboy of SH and can only accept the game bugs for so long. Those who want to think SH5 is all grand that's their business I'll give the sim one more go but if it screws up the gameplay again I'll use the disk as a beer coaster.:yep:

I don't believe that anyone in this thread has even come close to suggesting that.

I was merely pointing out that this has been an issue for a long, long time. ;)

Man after my own tastes! I gave the game two honest tries, before putting the disk away and shoving into the storage box with my games collection. The only CD I ever really turned into a drink coaster, was Meridian59.

It makes for a terrible frisbie!
That much I know from experience.
:haha:
As for a beer coaster?
The water runs off of it so it's no good for that.
:nope:

To small for a hat.
To soft for a cutting board.
To big for a button.

Can't copy over it.
Can't sell it.
Can't shave with it.
And my system won't run it so I can't play it!
:wah:

Guess I'll just work on fixing it so threads like this disappear.

Have you come up with a solution to make it fly better yet?

Why yes I have!
:haha:

Place the DVD in the oven on a small object in the center.
Turn the heat up slowly until it bends over the object.
You only want a small dish as the final result.
Depending on the distance you want?
Change the object to melt over.
You'll end up with a Golf Frisbee thingy.
And you'll get all the girls when you whip out the SH5 disk.
:har:

OK, ok I've calmed down now. I spent a long time patrolling with so much as a seagull in sight. Then suddenly I picked up a 12 Merchant convoy with no escorts. I had to save the game since something important came up and well...they vanished when I came back to it. But the good news is that after a few tries the convoy showed up again and I vented my frustration by decimating six ships. So, I guess it turned out OK. As for the beer it kept slipping off the disk.:D

12 merchants and no escorts? Sounds like an ATO waterborne version of the Marianas Turkey Shoot. :har:

As for the vanishing convoy, its Einstein's fault.
