Dear Sobers, Think the idea is terrific but not quite sure where to type in 'silentotto'? Started a new campaign as instructed, skipped the tutorial and end up in the pen. Approach the officer and have dialogue to start a patrol but only have 2 campaigns on offer so I have missed something,haven't I? Would appreciate some help if possible as only had game for 2 weeks. The old SH3 and 4 I could cheat on renown and basically start anywhere and anytime so it was a 'pseudo dynamic campaign'. Sh5 is more realistic but I would still like to fast forward to sample the action even so as I have a great regard for subsims and have been playing them since SH1( although I don't have 100% realism) but pretty close!Hope you can help,

Regards, GrantCIts an inbuilt code to bring up all the campaigns . I am just relaying the info in the SH5 forum so everyone knows . Its not my mod , its Elanaibas .

[Tutorial] How to play in any campaign .
To start a new campaign in any of the campaigns thru out the war , Start a new campaign and put in your campaign name as usual . Click on start and when in the campaigns screen type in silentotto . This will enable all the campaigns to become available . Choose a campaign and start . Dont have any upgrades because its a new campaign , just go back to your saves and choose the in port save .

1.start new mission
2. enter captain name
3. accept
from here it sais stert new campain and the geme begin...

where and when do i type silentotto?
pls make me a step by step list

Just type silentotto , there is nowhere to type it , just type it while on the black campaign screen .

I would vote that this be made a sticky, "silentotto" is the friend of both new and returning sub skippers.

Hi Sober,

I understood what you explained that we must do to have the upgrades available in a new campaign. i have a little question:

- if in previos campaign i had (for example) a sub type VIIB or VIIC, in the new campaign i will start with a type VIIB or type VIIC or they will give me again the older one (type VIIA)?

Depend on the time period. For example the latest campaigns start with the c41 version. But whatever type it is.. it will be empty, you will have not even a deck gun and also you got 0 renown point. So there is a lot of work to do to get you boat equipped with all the upgrades available...

The mod Open_Horizons is compatible withe the mod Little Campaign 1.2

If they are compatible wich one i must install first?

No is not compatible, but its safe to overwrite it. Install Lite Campaign first then Open Horizons.
OH will not disable Lite Campaign mod for the rest of the campaigns and for Open Horizons only you dont need LC because the requirements are built for realistic play. For example the yearly tonnage is around 200k/year. Its a campaign built to enjoy the game and the beauty of the dynamic campaign engine, not for insane tonnage hunt.

I've had SH3 and SH4 and now SH5. I am not fond of single missions, so always go for the campaigns.

My problem is, I like mods. I'm always starting over to see the new mods that come out.

That is why I have been playing sub sims since SH3 and have never gotten past the first patrol, if that. I'm just too curious when a new mod is announced.

My goal is to finish one before I die. :yep:
