Anders Håkan Lans, born November 2, 1947 in Enskede, is a Swedish inventor. He took early, while he worked at FOA, providing a system for color graphics to the desktop. For many years various disputes have been fought in U.S. courts on this patent. He has also invented a method of communication, STDMA, used in AIS. AIS is a global system that notifies aircraft and vessel position to other vehicles in the vicinity, to increase the safety of navigation. This system has been adopted as global standards, first for shipping, again for air.He is sometimes rewritten in Sweden as having invented the computer mouse. The honor, however, go to Douglas Engelbart (see article on the computer mouse). It is designed as Lance was part of a digitizing table and differed considerably from the computer mice that are common today. Among other things, it works only on a special plate, which detects the precise location of the mouse, also known as Puck, is located. Hakan Lans was awarded Polhem Prize (1995 for color graphics and transponder for positioning systems, GPS), KTH big prize in 1996 and the Aeronautical Society Thulin gold medal in the 1999th He is also honorary doctor at Uppsala University and elected a corresponding member of the Royal Society of Naval 2,001th
