1.5 is not a patch? So its an expansion pack?
does it have any advantages over 1.4, like bug fixes or anything?:hmmm:

It's both a patch and expansion. So yes it does solve some things from 1.4, I would recommend getting it if you haven't already.

A lot of the super mods(and maybe some others??) need 1.5 to run as well. You might be able to find the earlier versions of a mod that will work on 1.4, but you miss the upgrades to the mods though.

Almost all major mods for SHIV nowadays are geared toward ver 1.5. The mods that are left for ver 1.4 are few and far between. Make sure you get the SHIV The Gold Edition on disk instead of download, it is the better choice. Buy the disk here through the Subsim store. It helps support this website and all that it does for everyone. However, if for some remote reason the SHIV Gold Edition is not available here I would suggest that if you live in the States that you check for a Half-Price Book Store in your area. They've been known to have the SHIV Gold Edition for $6.00.

I found mine at gamestop. The last one they had. That was about 2 weeks before my joining this forum.
