Wow ten years.

And the trial is just wrapping up, with the verdict expected in December.

I never understood how the entire fleet was abandoned after just one accident. but the 747 are still flying and they were invovled in some very notorius accidents

$$$$$$$$$$$$ (or more accurately Francs/Pounds/Euros).

I'd bet the operating cost per flight hour of the Concorde is considerably higher than a 747. As old as they are I bet they were maintenance pigs.

I think they've had some other "issues" that aren't as widely known as well. I remember about 15-20 years ago reading they were having problems with part of the rudder coming apart in flight. It happened to three or four of them before they got a fix for it.

:)

You're right, they were pigs, and expensive tickets. But I dont recall ever being short on passengers. Even with those ticket prices
