Monkey Island

So I received Tales of Monkey Island when I purchased the Tell Tale Games Pack through steam. I bought the pack because I like Sam and Max, and figured I'd give Monkey Island a shot.

Shortly afterwords I realized Tales of Monkey Island and Monkey Island were two different products. I've yet to play Tales of Monkey Island, but I have downloaded the first two episodes.


Would someone mind explaining to me what the main difference between Monkey Island and Tales of Monkey island is? :hmmm:

Also, if I enjoy Sam and Max is it worth buying Tales of Monkey Island, plus Monkey Island 1&2?


Also is Tales of Monkey Island part of the same main story of Monkey Island?

Funny you should ask, I was making a nostalgic come back to Monkey and S&M only yesterday.

Which will you like? Nobody can answer that question except yourself. Monkey Island has been called the best adventure game, but I know adventure game addicts who don't like it.

I like it of course, but coming back after 20 years, I can't help but think some of the puzzles make no sense. What was I on to be able to solve them?

Since Tales of Monkey Island is the fifth in the series, I think I will give Secret of Monkey islands a try.

I do agree that S&M is a brilliant game.
