Awesome,

it's quite fascinating the ways these insects have to ambush their prey.

So, the caterpillar eats flies until he turns into one, then becomes prey for another caterpillar...:hmmm:

Uhh caterpillars tun into moths/butterflys ;)

But you propose a curious food chain there... a renewable resource :haha:

So if somebody bumps me off, is it insectistcide?

I suppose it would be. :hmmm:

Creepiest insect video I ever saw was a wasp stinging a large spider, not to kill it but just enough to keep it stunned but alive. Then she laid her egg on it and when the egg hatched the little baby wasp had a fresh food supply.

The whole insect world gives me the heebie-jeebies. :o

I'd love to read the book one day, but the movie is not high on my list. From your picture, they look like cockroaches and I absolutly loathe cockroaches.
I lived in Louisiana for 4 years when I was a teen and they grow 'em big down there. They're the state bird-I learned that some actually fly.

We've got 'em that size in Philly too. They lived in the laundry room of my apartment building. Hideous.
